A Queens pistol-range owner busted last month as part of the city's anti-gun initiative sued Police Commissioner Ray Kelly yesterday, demanding the return of his clients' gun licenses, The Post has learned.
Michael Spallone, 43, co-owner of the Woodhaven Rifle & Pistol Range, was hit with a misdemeanor on May 24 for allegedly "delivering" a Glock-19 handgun to a civilian undercover investigator working for the city's corporation counsel.

What does "delivering" a Glock 19 mean? They might have just loaned the pistol to the investigator for some target practice, a common thing at ranges here in Tennessee.
To: libstripper
The gun laws here in Gotham at truly draconian. The idea is to make it very VERY hard to do ANYTHING, legally related to handguns.

One reason I would never live there. Too socialist. Consider moving to a state where some residual freedom still exists. There is more to life than early morning NY Times, great Pizza and the Yankees.
To: Jack Black
Well, none of those are really reasons to live in NYC. The fish wrap is delivered across much of the country these days, the Yankees can be watched in many places also, and great pizza can be found outside also.

With the exception that celebrities and other famous people don't have much trouble getting a gun permit.

As my screenname indicates, this is my HOME. I really LIKE this place - the density, the energy, etc. I've never lived in a place that had a strong "gun culture", so I don't miss it. Hence, I understand the mindset of the gungrabbers.
Having said that, I understand that the 2nd amendment is to protect us from the govt, and strongly support folks who fight to keep their gun rights.
And should I ever migrate to Red America, you can be certain I'll be getting up the firearms learning curve.

What does "delivering" a Glock 19 mean? In Georgia, it means just one more gun for the collection:)

Why I love New York: because that is where the Terrorists think they have to blow things up. It makes the rest of us a lot safer.Yeah? Well, go screw yourself.

With the exception that celebrities and other famous people don't have much trouble getting a gun permit. That was true for concealed carry permits before a city councilman was shot and killed by a political rival with probable AIDS dementia in NY City Hall. After that concealed carry permits were not renewed for celebrities, etc. Someone has to demonstrate a need for them now.

Amen to #8. I was raised in the "hoplophobic" culture of the NYC area, but got over it when I lived in Miami.
Now, I'm locked and loaded, even though I still have to "register" with the state.

Len, the pizza S-CKS in Pennsylvania and New Jersey (few notable exceptions here). Only NYC, Lawn Guyland, Westchester, and certain towns in southern Connecticut have edible pizza.

I happened to have shot target at that range. This range has been operating since the early fifties and there never has been a problem there.
This was a setup by the Commissioner. He wants to close all the ranges in the city. And, one by one, by hook or by crook they will do it. The City has not issued carry licenses in the past ten years. If you own a long weapon, rifle or shotgun it must be registered in the City. The cost of annual fees is astronomical.
