August is the month that DC shuts down. When you get there, you will see why.
W got so much grief for spending the entire month at his ranch last year, that he might spend some time at the WH this year. But not likely much - Congress is gone, and so are most others.

The President will almost certainly be campaigning for Republican candidates in August. He's done that before, used his ranch as his base of operations in August, but still did the day trips to various functions.

Drat! Sounds like my plans to stalk Dubya are not to be. LOL.

Please, Dubya dear, just walk by once. Oh well, at least I'll get to look at the grass he walks on. Maybe he'll leave a muddy footprint somewhere.

I really do want to meet him in person some day. But he only has two years left! How do I do it?

At least Congress is shut down. I have a feeling I'd have a few words for my senator. Something along the lines of, "Swinegold, why do you have to be so VILE!"

As for the tour, I still have to decide when in August I'm going. I'll probably want to spend a day or two in Boston and Providence too. Decisions, decisions....
