If he is going to an event anywhere near you, try to go and get there VERY EARLY so you can get a spot right up front on the rope line. That's probably your best bet.

I was there in May, and wanted to wear a t-shirt saying "I'm from California, and I'm pi$$ed".
But, I resisted temptation. We toured DC for 2 days, then down to Williamsburg and Jamestown. OH, what a trip! Don't miss Mt. Vernon if you haven't seen it.
