Run away! Run away!

Although I have no argument with this editorial, I was hoping for some tangible evidence of Dems running away from Jackie M.

He scares me, too. He always looks so inappropriately angry. Maybe he is starting to show signs of brain degeneration.

Reminder: Today is the last day for fundraising for 2006's second quarter. If you've been considering donating to Murtha's worthy opponent - Diana Irey, please do so now to make her fundraising totals even more impressive.

The dems have stayed in Election Mode and ratcheted it up since 2000. The trouble they will have November 2006 will be how they can ratchet it up even higher and expect the be noticed or will the American people just yawn at them again. I hope the dems do try to exceed their demagoguery and the American People repeat the performance of 2002 and 2004 for the party which Zell Miller says is "A National Party no More".

Are there any polls out showing how well Murtha's November opponent is doing? I would love to see this idiot get beaten.

Murtha IS the Democrat Party. They all can't run and hide.

We MUST keep the dems attached to Murtha. He stepped into the public eye with his attacks on our military personnel and he cannot now be allowed to slink back into the dark corners.

I don't think they can. I get the feeling we are going to see innumerable commercials featuring Murtha's big fat, treasonous, hypocrital, backsides wrapped aroung the ears of every Democrat running for re-election.

Murtha sides up with Code Pink

Code Pink has given $650,000 to the terrorists in Fallujah, participated in war crimes tribunals against America and has called American soldiers "killers" on their website among many treasonous actions. They display signs like "Maimed for a Lie" at Walter Reed Army Medical Center where wounded troops are healing.
Text of Code Pink's statement on meeting Rep. Murtha:
Thank You Congressman Murtha! CODEPINK co-founder Gael Murphy and DC coordinator Allison Yorra met with Congressman Murtha to thank him for his courageous stand on Iraq. We presented him with our pink badge of courage and pink flowers sent by CODEPINK members nationwide.

Murtha's "Cut & Run" Comments on Iraq:

"there's no progress at all"

"it's worse than it was prewar"

"we should immediatley redeploy"

"War cannot be won on the ground"

"I have said it's a civil war"

"We cannot win this militarily. Our tactics themselves keep us from winning,"

Murtha's Comments on our Troops:

"Would you join (the military) today?," he was asked in an interview. "No," replied Murtha

"And I think you're saying the average guy out there who's considering recruitment is justified in saying 'I don't want to serve'," the interviewer continued. "Exactly right," said Murtha

"we have become a catalyst for violence" in Iraq

Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood." at Haditha

"I will not excuse murder, and this is what happened"

"This is worse than Abu Ghraib"

"Hopefully, this is an isolated incident. But we're supposed to be selling ideas of America, ideals of America, and we're losing that war."

"These kind of things have to be brought out immediately," he told "This Week," "because if the Marines got away with it, other Marines might think it's okay."

"What they're saying to me is we're stretching the military too thin. The army is broken, and we couldn't deploy to a second front if we wanted to."

"The troops don't know what to do. They don't have the direction they need in order to supervise the prisoners,"

It is little wonder that many in his Party would want to distance themselves from Murtha. They don't want to be associated with a person who shamelessly displays inappropriate behavior.

cold blooded killers (statement about Marines before investigation completed)

Okinawa (redeploy troops for rapid response but 5000 miles away)

at this time (turning down payoff but keeping offer on table)

This type behavior is delusional and cannot be accepted in a person representing the people of our great country.

Sometimes I wonder . . .

What sort of Machiavellian scenario might be playing whereby

the puppet masters set up the DIMRATS to be the most utterly insane, off-the-wall, idiotic, clueless, bumbling, traitorous . . . . stupeeedos of the last many centuries . . .

for what?

to then get their RINOs to push through skull duggery? A la Nixon and China?

I don't know. But sometimes, the stupidity on the part of the DIMRATS just seems too extreme for even their normal unaided cluelessness.

Not trying to be paranoid. [I heard that.]

Just trying to avoid being naive, too.

One or two SUPER STUPEEEEDO'S I could understand. I could understand even 3-4--it probably comes naturally with DIMRATS. But flocks and flocks of them? What's up?

What's the globalist game plan with that?

Heh. The Dems are the user class -- they like Murtha while he's getting them some traction, but as soon as he's a liability he's thrown away like yesterday's leftovers. And when someone thinks they are losing their popularity with their cheerleaders, they come up with new and more outrageous claims to hold the attention. He's an Attention Wh*** pure and simple. They all operate the same way. Look for Murtha to sport some even wilder claims in the near future! That's my prediction.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, at a panel discussion in Miami on Saturday, Mr. Murtha said that the "American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran."

I am in no way defending Murtha, but I understand the Sun-Sentinel retracted the reporting of this statement from Murtha, indicating that they were incorrect in what he said.

This Bozo Murtha has had his big A$$ kissed for so long he thinks he's frigging royalty. I fear this election will be "Night of the living voters". I saw a billboard along Interstate 70 today showing Murtha in a pensive pose that stated something about his "Courage" award. As I rode by I gave it the one finger salute!

Bearing in mind the offer I made to you on another thread (i.e. Irey supporters should pledge a certain amount of money for every stupid thing Murtha says) I am sending $50 dollars to Irey.

Originally I had said maybe $10 a pop, but this is especially stupid, so I will kick in a little more. I was thinking about $100, but I had better pace myself-God only knows what the old fool will say next.

A pay raise not a problem (6/28/06)

The Tribune-Democrat (Link)

No member of Congress had the guts to speak in favor of a pay raise, but when it came to a vote, our noble federal legislators gave themselves a 2 percent pay hike by a vote of 249 to 167.

We were not aware that our members of Congress were impoverished, although an awful lot of their constituents are...

As for our area representatives, Rep. John P. Murtha, D-Johnstown, voted for the raise, and Rep. Bill Shuster, R-Hollidaysburg, voted against it.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Dems big "Pay raise/minimum wage" push helped end Jackie's career?!? :-)
