I saw this story two or three weeks ago.

"Our pilotless reconnaissance plane flew over the USS Ronald Reagan in the Persian Gulf unnoticed to the Americans for 25 minutes," the official said... Unnoticed? Haw! Just because they didn't shoot down your toy doesn't mean they didn't notice it, idiot...

The Reagan entered Pearl Harbor yesterday and will be back in San Diego next week so this must have taken place awhile ago.
I wonder what the left would say if the Reagan had shot down another countries aircraft in International airspace that could not do it any harm.
Seems the skipper did not play into Iran's trap.

U.S. radars picked up the unmanned aerial vehicle after 25 minutes, and that four USAF fighters and two helicopters were scrambled to intercept it.
However, the Iranian plane had already crossed the border back into Iran and landed at its base.
Damn, we're still playing catch-up to the Iranian's technology.

This is pure BS unless they were *really* stealth. Nothing is allowed near a task force unless it is, errr,
allowed.
Particularly in the Gulf!

I've been out of the Navy for more than 40yrs. now so things may have changed, but I just can not believe that
1) it penetrated the task force all the way to the RR
2) it circled, unmolested for 25mins.

Wonder if Iran considered that maybe they were allowed to see what it would be like if only one U.S. aircraft carrier was unleashed on them.
