Southern Israel needs a new, massive deep-water port. I hereby nominate the Gaza Strip as the bed of said port.

FNC just reported a large explosion in Gaza...
To: RDTF
It doesn't matter who kidnapped the soldier because Hamas is the government and whatever happens from their side is their responsibility.

Its Fatah that abducted Eliyahu Asheri and Gilad Shalit, not Hamas. And yet the Israeli government is ignoring Fatah's cupability in terrorism, perhaps because it would be an admission that is no partner for Israel to surrender territory to. Fatah and Hamas are in fact, merging. And in refusing to invade Gaza and ending the PLO regime, as Caroline Glick and Steven Plaut have written this morning, Olmert still refuses to get it. That Israeli capitulation in fact will not produce peace but an enormous escalation of Palestinian violence. If I was Abu Mazen, I would not believe for a moment Israel is serious, since her leaders make threats but fail to follow through on them. That is the meaning behind Israel's Really Really Hard vow of promising to responding to PLO violence through blowing up empty buildings, fields and bridges and the limited assassination of a handful of terrorist leaders. Even the boy crying wolf had more strategic credibility. In the end, Reoccupation and Denazification is Israel's only choice and it may take a winding road to arrive there.

After reading it more I think it is? I thought it was another claim made to confuse the original kidnapping.

Well, ya know, maybe Israel just takes 'em all out, just to make sure the correct perps pay for the crime. Make a clean sweep.

The moderator must have thought so too, and removed it from breaking news

Attack starting at the northern end. Send in the busses and trucks right behind the soldiers. Load up all palestinans in the busses and trucks, and ship them to the west bank. once all of the murdering scumbags are in the west bank, annex the gaza, and declare the west bank as an independent palestinian nation. deport all palestinians left in israel, cut off all funding, and let them rule themselves, and get all the help they need from their arab bretheren. problem solved forever.

How does one kidnap an armed soldier? Shouldn't they be in groups with their firearms locked and loaded?
To: refermech
The first kidnapped soldier was in a group, and the others were killed - I believe he himself was wounded, and they dragged him away before support could get there.

I was thinking about sinking the Gaza Strip to about 75 feet below sea level to accomodate the new breed of container ships myself.
