Elections cannot be won in June, but they can be lost.
Karl Rove knows this -- that is why he, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have already traveled to Florida and raised $800,000 to help Republican Clay Shaw save his seat.
This is one race that will be critical to our win in November. Republican Clay Shaw, in Florida's 22nd district, is facing the stiffest challenge of his 26-year career from a rising Democratic star, Ron Klein. And the Republican establishment is doing everything they can to stop Ron from winning.
Ron, like the DCCC, is facing a crucial end of quarter deadline at midnight on June 30th. You have already done so much to support our efforts to win a Democratic majority. But right now, I am asking you to take one more step and contribute to Ron and help Democrats win this Republican seat.

Since the 2000 elections, Florida has been the epicenter of Republican dirty tricks. In 2000 and 2004 it was one of the fiercest battlegrounds in the country, but Karl Rove and the Bush brothers used every stunt in their playbook to squeak out victories and maintain their stranglehold on Florida politics. Now Democrat Ron Klein has a chance to knock out one of the pillars of the Florida Republican establishment, and start tipping the balance in our favor again.
Ron Klein has been fighting as a proud Democrat for his community in Florida for years, ever since he defeated a 10-year incumbent and was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1992. As people in Florida's 22nd are watching Shaw flounder on local issues, such as drilling off of their coast, and national issues, such as Social Security privatization, Ron is ready to step in and fill the leadership void.
Clay Shaw is at the top of the endangered Republicans list and they are pulling out all the stops to try to keep this seat. Clay Shaw has already received visits from Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, and President Bush.
Karl Rove, the mastermind behind Bush, has activated the Republican base, saying, "Everyone that you can devote to him, every dollar that you can provide, every vote that you can turn, every person that you can get to, it's important to get it done this year for Clay Shaw."

Clay Shaw is one of President Bush's most loyal rubber stamps, voting with him 9 out of 10 times. One can only imagine how much special-interest money President Bush and Karl Rove are going to put into this race.
With Ron Klein as a Democratic candidate, we have the opportunity to change the leadership in Florida's 22nd district. Instead of being home to one of President Bush's biggest defenders, it can be home to a proud Democrat who has led the Florida state legislature. Ron will be the Congressman this district needs; he'll work to make health care affordable, fight for quality education, hold insurance companies accountable, protect the environment, and promote economic development that benefits everybody, not just a select few.

Ron is NOT the Congressman this district needs; he'll work to make abortion affordable, fight for quality sex education and homosexual lobby in schools, force to pay for abortifacients/contraception, protect the environment from drilling the oil we need, and promote economic development by taxing the heck out of everyone.
Gee, kind of odd how this comes out at the same time the mainstream media circulates a story about how "tight" this race is. A story that ended with the throwaway line "No polls have been done yet on this race, so we don't know how close it is".
Apparently we are in for 4 months of the media reporting every democrat talking point. Just like the last 4 years.
I wish the GOP top Brass would come to FL & do the same for KH.

What she should have said is:
"Democrats can't win election, but they can lose 'em".
