Hmmm ...
![](http://us.news3.yimg.com/us.i2.yimg.com/p/ap/20060616/capt.tok11606161354.japan_loving_elvis_tok116.jpg)
... this looks like "Cheesy Movie Elvis", from the early/mid 60s ...
![](http://www.archives.gov/publications/prologue/2004/winter/images/nixon-elvis.jpg)
... And this is "Vegas Elvis" from the 70s ...
But Koizumi looks almost the same in the top photo as he does now ... so I'm going to say it's photoshopped. (A good photoshop, though :)

The gardners probably found the three stronger ones two days later and tossed them in the trash outside the service entrance.I don't know how some people can do that ...

How cruel... Just don't understand how anyone could do that. :(

Thanks for the great photos. I love the china they will use tonight and look forward to more photos of the dinner.
Do you or anyone else have a link to the official guest list and is the dinner on C-Span?
To: STARWISE
Thank you, Starwise! :)

I agree with you. The Elvis in the photo looks like him circa the late 1950's or early 1960's. It's the hairstyle and also the fact that he's still slender. But Koizumi looks close to the way he does now. Maybe a little younger, and his hair is still dark. Also the desk thingy in front looks out of place on what appears to be a southern veranda.
BUT the shadows, light direction, and reflection in the desktop all are consistent with it being a real photo.
So I join you in your hmmmmmm...

I don't know how some people can do that ...NNA has been here on this site since the late 1960's, and there have been a lot of animals rescued off the campus through the years. Mostly cats, but a few dogs too. Who knows how many were never rescued, though, and wound up the way the kittens would have. Tossed away, alive, in the trash.
With most of the company moving to Tennessee in two weeks, I think of this rescue as one last little triumph of the heart before the place shuts down.

It looks real to me and Zumi looks a lot younger.
By the way, why is Jenna in the news? I haven't read much news today.

I"m so jealous..... I might start a riot and go looting for toasters. You think it's safe to go to New Orleans?
To: EmilyGeiger
Did you hear? I'm the proud co-owner of two bunnies and one guinea pig. That's great, Emily. Bunnies and guinea pigs can make great pets. When I was at the vet last week with the kittens to get their first shots, a woman had a young skunk she had rescued. It was a cute little thing. (No, it didn't smell.) I petted it. First time I ever got to pet a skunk.

Re Jenna, she's taking a teaching job in Latin America. Don't know which country. She quit the job she's had for the past year or so. Two WaPo shrews wrote the most catty column about it today. Called the President's kids "spawn." Ugh!

They are jealous because the Bush daughters are beautiful inside and out.
I thought (hoped) maybe she was engaged and we could see a White House wedding. Who would get to do that thread???

I might start a riot and go looting for toasters. You think it's safe to go to New Orleans? LOL! I don't think the NO Walmarts have re-stocked their toaster shelves yet :)
I thought you won a toaster a few weeks ago ...

After closer inpection, I think the only photoshopped area is Koizumi's head--someone stuck his head on another person's body. The lighting on his head is brighter than the rest of the photo.
