A found that Elvis gif a couple of months ago for the Idol thread (the final four went to Graceland in early May).

There's another Elvis picture I have, but I won't dare post it on the Dose. Wanna see it? :-D

CORRECTION to first paragraph:

Before President Bush and Japan's Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi held a press conference (text and video here) they met to discuss the war on terror, defending freedom and democracy, promoting regional security and prosperity in Asia (including North Korea), and enhancing closer cooperation on global economic issues (including Japan now agreeing to open its markets to US beef). This is Koizumi's farewell visit, as he steps down from his position as Prime Minister in September.

Every time I think of Koizumi at Graceland I picture him wearing one of those white jumpsuits :)

LOL! He's just eccentric enough to do it, too. Check out this photo. It was used for the jacket of a charity CD released in Japan. I don't know if it's an authentic photo or a Photoshopped one. Koizumi is fun-loving enough to allow his photo to be digitally inserted next to the King (or maybe he really did meet the King?).

Yahoo caption: In this photo released by BMG Japan, Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi smiles next to Elvis Presley in the jacket of this limited edition charity CD that featured 25 Elvis songs personally selected by Koizumi as his favorites. Japanese fans snapped up all 200,000 copies of the Elvis CD, said Takuya Matsuyama of BMG Japan, which released the disk in 2002. When Koizumi tours Graceland later this month June, 2006 with U.S. President George W. Bush, he will be representing a big constituency _ Japan has droves of Elvis Presley fans, and the biggest Elvis fan club in all of East Asia. Koizumi, of course, is the most famous.

Thanks for asking, Jonny. Yes, I'm having a great summer. I rescued five little kittens and they all have homes. Of course, I'm keeping two.

How's your summer going?

I'm laughing at that photo ... I bet Koizumi has at least one personal copy of the CD :)

It's going very well! I've been busy--more than I could've imagined--and it's cutting into my Freeping time. But I'm not complaining. It's nice to be busy :)

Were they all together?

I personally found two on May 31 on top of a 12-15 foot tall hedge here on the Nissan campus. Two days later the guard in the lobby called me. Three more kittens had been found in the trash. Someone just threw live kittens in the trash. All five are probably from the same litter. We think mom cat abandoned the two smallest, weakest ones. They are the ones I found on the 31st. The gardners probably found the three stronger ones two days later and tossed them in the trash outside the service entrance. Luckily someone heard them crying, told the guard, and he called me.

Better to be busy than to FReep around here lately (excluding the Dose and a few other threads). Sometimes I think there are more Bush bashers here than over at DU.

Thanks, GEM ... GREAT day when you see two such great friends and allies enjoying a splendid WH ceremony, and looking forward to a special day tomorrow.

Don't ya'll think that, in the next two years, the Dosers should be up on that top balcony, watching W in another ceremony??

, JONNY!
