'Today' Heaves Hillary in Right-Wing Briar Patch

If Hillary Clinton was watching 'Today' this morning, you can imagine her using her best North-Korean-parliament rhythmical clapping in response to what she saw on screen. It might be 'ronery' in her Georgetown or Chappaqua spreads, but it's always heart-warming to know you've got friends at the highest-rated morning show.

The premise was that while Hillary has been a long-time bogeywoman of the right, "these days Clinton's biggest critics aren't necessarily in the GOP." It was noted that "she was recently booed by Democratic audiences for arguing against timetable to pull US troops out of Iraq."

The segment also noted her "split with liberals" in her support for an amendment prohibiting flag burning."

And who popped up next? Why, Markos Moulitsas of the Dem-left Daily Kos. We were informed that Kos "is one of many liberals critical of Clinton." Kos accused Hillary of political calculation in repositioning herself toward the center. The irony of course is that Kos' criticism helps Hillary achieve the very end he decries.

We were then treated to a clip of Hillary advisor Howard Wolfson making seemingly contradictory statements. On the one hand, he assured us that "Senator Clinton is acting from the heart." But with his very next breath, he observed that - pure coincidence, no doubt - "her positions do reflect where the majority of Democrats are and where the country is."

Team Hillary couldn't have boosted her repositioning strategy as well with a $1 million of ads of Hillary in front of a field of flags. Thanks, Today!

I suppose they're believing that we are thinking "Hey, if the liberals don't want her she must be worth my vote". No thanks. Her advisors can sugarcoat **it all they want, we're not biting.

Cynical lip service for a measure that everyone knew wouldn't pass anyway.

TODAY is part of the Dem pimp media. Chris Matthews, George Stepawhatshisface, Bob Schieffer, etc, etc, etc. All Democrats with one desire in mind: elect Democrats.

Keep unmasking them.

Hillary is smart to run away from the kook wing of her party.

Of course I and the democratic party are where most Americans are. We believe in Flag Burning, We believe every woman should have an Abortion, We believe Cities have the right to take your home and give it to developers. I even believe the democratic party is pro-war. To bad some fools booed me. I don't need their votes and I defy this administration from telling me otherwise.

It's heartening to know that no matter what Hillary says, on almost any subject, she's going to anger one segment or the other of her natural support base.

I don't trust her for one second. This could all be a rope-a-dope designed to lull the opposition into a false sense of security. Remember who you're dealing with. The Clintons are cunning and conniving.

This is all a thinly veiled plan by the media to move Hillary to the "center" so she can be elected president.

Hillary is a hard-left socialist.

They need the middle - independent voter for Hellary to have any possible chance of not making a fool of herself in the election

That is why they are trying this BS of her being part of the VWRC Club

As you noted ... her adviser Howard Wolfson played both sides of the fence .. which is what Hellary has been doing the last few years

It's also know as flip flopping

I agree. They are excellent politicians. They realize that few voters will vote for the candidate backed by the wacko kooks.

I am pretty sure that Kos is a media manipulator created by the Clintons expressly for the purpose of helping Hillary. In California in 2004, the Democrats and Cruz Bustamante could never paint Arnold Schwarzenegger as a conservative bogeyman because Tom McClintock stayed in the race to the end.

Create a jack-in-the-box-clown caricature of the goofball left like Moulitsas and you can make even Hillary look reasoned and "centrist".
