We have a sound permit, and we will be across the street from the New York Times. They are at 229 West 43rd Street. The groups on board so far are Free Republic, Caucus for America, the Congress for Racial Equality, and Protest Warrior, NYC Chapter. We have reached out to several other groups as well, and are waiting to hear back from them. Some high-visibility media people are interested in speaking at the protest. More information will be coming on this as we gather groups and speakers. So hold the date! If you have been as sick about the Times's unconscionable blabbing of our classified information as the rest of those who care about the nation, now is your chance to do something to make your outrage heard.
I don't have a contact for Rolling Thunder. Maybe Raoul or kristinn can help--I know they have appeared at DC rallies.
They are fabulous. My heart soars when I see them arriving.
Is there a NYT's office here in Lost Angeles...? Bi coastal protest?

Hume reported earlier that Keller asked The Wall Street Journal and Washington Post to join in their weekend "non-apology" but the Journal refused saying they printed the story only after it appeared in the Slimes and were unaware of the Administration request not to print it. Had they been asked, there's no question they would have honored the request.
I run a travel agency in WV. If enough people are interested, I will charter a bus, to leave Winchester/Martinsburg, to DC area, then 95 n through Baltimore area, Philly, and North to NYC for the rally, to return in the evening. You can join anywhere along the way. We can split the cost, at cost... working together, we can make a lunch and dinner pot luck, and bring coolers full of pop.
Freepmail if interested !@!@! I can make it happen tomorrow!
Sadly, I posted my offer last night, and by this morning had not one response... but I intend to be there!

In any case, looking forward to meeting you on Monday.
Very interesting detail. One might have guessed as much. It's good to know it for sure. What about the Washington Post? Same story? They didn't know about the administration's request either?

Are there some New York VFW's that could be called? I'm sure they'd send some people over to help...
Carry a "Democrats against the NYT" They'll dismiss us, but a democrat might get their attention.
I get many discount offers sent via email for Broadway/off-Broadway shows. Imagine my dismay when receiving this one today. The title of the show is "BUSH IS BAD." The advertisement sent to me is as follows:
BUSH IS BAD, which has been described as a cross between Forbidden Broadway and The Daily Show, offers catchy tunes, wickedly funny lyrics and scathing impersonations of the president and his dissembling gang of conspirators. Among the best-reviewed new musicals of the season, it has been described as "savvy, uproarious, [and] delicious," with "lyrics that draw blood and melodies that stick in the brain," eliciting "raucous, borderline orgasmic reactions." The New York Times declared that "Bush-hating has become fun again!" For a limited time, you can enjoy all of the scathing fun for just $18.75!

No mention why the Washington Post didn't join in but the fact they didn't serves to compound the loss of readership I hope these traitors face.
