Too bad its a Monday, rather than a weekend. At least on weekends, I'd have a decent chance of finding parking in Manhattan.

I'll be the first to admit that I had a particularly hard day.
I flipped on my computer for a little solice on Free Republic.
By solice, I mean that Free Republic does wonders in balancing my emotional response to this world, while allowing the free exchange of ideas, some of which are normally surpressed in our reptant repositories.
This is why you'll see some FReepers cut jokes over a tragedy, while others are calling for prayers.
I got an all caps ping from someone I was not familiar with - hence my question: "Why did you ping me?"
That I did not know of you was my fatal mistake, so it seems.
Have a hard look at your friends, who reduce me after my many years here, as a he/she/it.
I see this as an education to me as to what kinds of people I am in society with on Free Republic.
See who turns on a dime.
I have already turned myself in to the scrutiny of the admin istators/moderators.
No hard feelings.

Stuck in Sacto, but Dang I'd like to be there.
Freepers are a clever bunch, and I can just imagine some of the signs!
Wishing all attendees good weather.

Such eloquence. You must have kissed the Blarney Stone.
Go back in your hooch and enjoy the air conditioning, princess. We'll take care of the heavy lifting.

Thanks for the early heads up. I don't know if we can make it, but I'll ping my CT list (and alert some RI FReepers).
