This was just posted on CNN. I'm not making this up.

"Syria says its air defenses fired at Israeli jets flying over the president's house, forcing them to flee, The Associated Press reports."

I'm not buying it but this is what AP is reporting.

The flight caused "noise" on the ground

Yeah, I'll bet it did. Probably ruined Assad's night's sleep.

And..did CNN also report that the Syrians shot at the Israeli jets way after they'd left Syrian air space? No? They didn't tell that part?

pppffffttt...CNN!

Yeah IDF didn't much appreciate rumors that Syria might consider sharing some of those newly aquired WMDs with Hamas.

That's just it, I don't believe their air defenses knew what happened until the Israelis had already left. I'm waiting on our (American) official response to this incident. I don't think the words, "road map to peace" will be in it.

Forced them to flee apparently after they flew over downtown before they buzzed A$$ad's home.

This is the Islamofascist joke of the day, "Forced them to Flee!"

Sigh...I know..you're right. I get SO frustrated when FOX does this.

An earlier post compared the political situation to the behavior of children, and the comparison's pretty accurate. Kids (Hamas) get pretty skilled about understanding when they've pushed Dad (Israel) too far, and limit their activities to just short of what causes him to go ballistic. Hamas thinks they're still on safe territory, the Israelis are out to convince them that they've gone too far. It's bluff versus bluff right now. The real danger is that Hamas will cross over the line through ignorance.

So far, we're just looking at the traditional middle eastern negotiation game. Each side threatens the other until it's clear one side has the upper hand and isn't going to be moved. Whereupon the other side immediately claims to be a victim. When you start seeing Hamas news releases crying about how poorly they've been treated, you'll know the crisis is over.

What is Hezballo doing I wonder?

They will be making empty threats typical of Arabs but in reality they are cr*ping in their pants.

21:25 Iranian FM warns at UN of Israeli nuclear threat (Reuters)

This worries me,.....the question is :

Is this part of an Iranian and Syrian Master Plan in which the starting play in the Chess Game was the kidnapping of the IDF Soldier hoping to Stimulate the New Israel PM into action so that some level of escaltion wpuld ensue,...and then ......Iran could try to deliver on their promise to wipe Israel from the map?

I thought the August date of Iran responding to the international pressure to talk about stopping enrichment was certainly strange....

And Bini will kick ass and not worry about taking names. He should have been in charge in the first place. He doesn't play games, and he doesn't placate anyone.
