Why the "love fest" for Putin? If I'm not mistaken, He and Russia are our sworn enemy and are currently working to stab us in the back. We should have a longer memory.

The kidnapping was probably a double cross on the "diplomats" who were facilitating the removal of WMD to Syria.
Now one mob (Russia) has ordered a hit on another mob. ("Insurgents")

If there was any retaliation for the hundreds of school children massacred by Chechen Muslim terrorists I didn't hear about it.
Any one hear of anything??

Russia foreign policy is not what it used to be. Putins response after Beslen says it all. These days, the Kremlin is too busy sucking Iranian and Muslim butts in the middle-east to build up his energy thugocracy to be concerned with his people being massacred abroad by the ROP.

Yeah. This "probe" will be at the end of a sniper rifle or a very quiet knife.

Everyone of our troops should take several days off in Iraq for sensitivity training while the Russians go about their business.
No P.C. driven military trials for them.

No,nor should you. The New York Times doesn't pull the stunts in Russia that it does in the United States.

"The president has ordered the special forces to take all necessary measures to find and destroy the criminals who killed Russian diplomats in Iraq,"
I hope they leave a trail of dead jihadis behind them. I know I wouldn't want to get in their way. Those boys is gonna be mad!

Given that Moscow probably takes long-term access to Iraqi oil a lot more seriously and the death of a few minor diplomatic (intelletence?) functionaries I doubt that increased Russian involvement in Iraq is something we should applaud.

(More of the same, only with more zeros at the end.)
I kinda have mixed feeling on this...
While I welcome anyone who wants to 'whack' terrorists, how can we allow the Russians to operate in Iraq???
They are not part of the Coalition, so they have no authority to operate in that respect.
Unlikely that the Iraqi government is going to invite them to conduct independent military operations for revenge on Iraq territory.
I think Putin is just flapping his gums, but if he does send Spetznatz in without coordination with Coalition authorities and the new Iraqi government, I see nothing but disaster from it.

"Earlier Wednesday, the lower house of the Russian parliament passed a statement decrying the murders and saying that "occupying" countries are losing control in Iraq."
Lately they never miss a chance to bash the mission. I hope they get the b*stards who killed their people, but they can kiss my Western A** for the statement above.
