Hey, fruit loops serve a valid purpose in lives. Maybe apes like them too.

Spain's parliament is to declare support for rights to life and freedom for great apes on Wednesday, apparently the first time any national legislature will have recognized such rights for non-humans. God help us!

Take your stinking paws off me, you damned dirty ape! Apparently Howie Carr did a radio broadcast from a zoo recently. He said that a bunch of chimps were hanging from a rope, high above a pedestrian walkway, pooping into their own hands and throwing poop at the people below.
I hope some "equal rights for apes" people were in the crowd.

Interracial marriages were taboo for many people. Now gay marriages are the rage. Follow those trends and the next step may well be beastiality bonds of matrimony. Helen Thomas may finally find a mate.

*non-himans*? Can't even call them *animals* like they are? Where does it stop? No more anti-biotics to fight infection?

The move in a country better known for bull-fighting ... Which raises an interesting issue... Apes get preferential treatment while it is still OK to torture another animal to death for sport?

But ... but ... Spain isn't in danger anymore! Why, they appeased the Muslim savages. I think that Spain is safe from any more terrorism ...

Spain has never recovered from that storm in 1588.

Why not the little monkeys?
To: metmom
They'll teach the apes to do the bullfighting.

".... They can solve complex puzzles..." He's right you know. An ape sitting next to me on the train yesterday completed a Sudoku puzzle in under 10 minutes.
