They don't get it.

Unfortunately, for many it will require another 9-11 for them to 'get it' but even if such a horrific event were to occur, God forbid, the Left would still be spinning it as "just a random event and not part of any sort of Jihad against the USA,,,,just another trumped-up smokescreen from the wealthy and the arms manufacturers to fight a trumped up war...yadda yadda yadda...".

There are, unfortunately, a great many people who will NEVER 'get it" and they will die as old and unhappy Socialists having never "gotten it".  Just as the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but......   in this case we need to concentrate on those people who actually have a glimmer of intelligence and are not robotic, knee-jerk Socialists....some people are simply beyond hope and are a waste of time.  Time is something that we all have very little of, as rogue nations are developing nukes (and many already have them) and they will be delighted to sell or even give these weapons to terrorists.  Anything that they can do to cause America harm and pain is just fine with them.  It is the sane people of the world, those of us who understand Socialism and Islamofascism for what they are, who will save our world and we don't have a lot of time to waste on people who are determined to be idiots.

I'm cynical sometimes. And depressed sometimes.

Sometime I think the left is winning against sanity and reality.

On one hand, the Islamofascists hate America and the West and on the other hand, the left does too.

I don't know who's more dangerous, the left or the insane Muslims. Maybe there's no difference.

I think the left is stronger than ever. They seem to have hegemony over much of the world's culture, if not the majority of the world.

It's depressing. I'm afraid they're winning.

I'm afraid that you're right. For some reason, there are a lot of people with whom you can try to reason, and they even seem to agree with you on points you make, but then go back to their original ways. As a case in point, I had a discussion with my Aunt, who told me that if Hillary! runs for president, my Aunt's going to vote for her. I asked "why?" And she replied, "for the same reason that a lot of other women are going to vote for her. Because she's a woman."

My Aunt and I had this discussion before, during the 2000 election campaign, where she told me that while she was a "registered republican," she was going to vote for Sore/Loserman. When I asked why, she said "because Leiberman is Jewish." When I asked how that was any different from voting against Leiberman because he was Jewish, she looked at me rather sheepishly, and said, "you're right. But I'm going to vote for him because he's Jewish anyway."
