If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear.that's crap when you're a conservative. you don't have to do anything wrong to be "afraid" the liberals are coming after you.
they's so open-minded when it comes to diversity of thought, after all.

If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear. Yeah, right. And the IRS has your best interests in mind at all times.

If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear. Great line. Wish it was true.

Yair.
Right.
You quite clearly don't much get about the world.

If you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear. Not true.
That phrase is a comforting bromide; but if it ever were true, it certainly isn't anymore in this age of political correctness.
Completely innocent people can be accused --and convicted, one way or another-- of "sexual harassment," rape, and a long list of other crimes.

At one time that statement would be true, not so anymore.
Sandy 'the burglar' Berger comes to mind, as ONE example.

If you've done nothing wrong, then you are not part of a protected class and the left will need to bring you down to make themselves feel better about themselves.
I posted this elsewhere, but I hope people that say "If you're doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about" are thinking about this.
Government airport security was supposed to be increased to prevent terrorism.
But government is run by people. Given the tool of being able to detain and rummage through Rush's "person and papers", the human failings of the security people allow them to commit a crime against you, too.** What's next? Sudden IRS audits? "Hmmm. How exactly can someone with your mortgage and late fees afford a vacation, hmmmm?"
If it had been a robot digging through his drawers, maybe this would be different. But it is human beings that are compiling databases, sneak-and-peaking, etc. And a large percentage of them hates Republicans, Rush, Coulter, and you and me!
**
Ok. Suppose Rush is cleared, and now he can sue the security guard, whomever, for letting it out that he uses Viagra. Rush loses. No way to recover his honor--legally. Meanwhile, the left can rehabilitate Richard Gere's image no problem. Is that what we want?

I like Rush, but he's an idiot for getting caught with a possible illegal prescription. He knew he was under scrutiny (fairly or unfairly) and should have known better. He could have easily had the precription in his name. With all his money what was he afraid of? Now he'll be the hot topic on Leno or Letterman.
They'll have a field day with Viagara jokes.
