MIAMI, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy Black, Rush Limbaugh's attorney, issued the following statement today in response to several inquiries by the media:
While going through routine Customs inspection of luggage at Palm Beach International Airport upon his return from an international trip, Rush Limbaugh was detained by customs agents after they noticed a non-narcotic prescription drug, which had been prescribed by Mr. Limbaugh's treating physician but labeled as being issued to the physician rather than Mr. Limbaugh for privacy purposes. After a brief interview, Mr. Limbaugh was permitted to continue on his journey.

But the prescription was not his.A labeling offense at most, likely attributable to his doctor.
The important question is whether he possessed the drug lawfully, not whether the label was correct.
It appears he was properly dispensed the drug by a person licensed to do so. If so, there is no violation on Rush's part.
Your contentions are confused and muddled because you have a very poor grasp on the laws in question and appear to have no clue how to analyze the evidence in terms of the laws.

He was so happy to go hang with the "24" crowd. I bet he's dropped like a hot potato now. Hollywood is Hollywood. When has Hollywood started dumping anyone for any type of drug issues?

Admittedly, I do not generally have to deal with bringing perscription drugs across international borders without a valid prescription in my name. Sounds like you might have more experience.

How many times have I been in a doctor's office and they prescribe something, and say "here are a few manufacturers' samples to get you started" to save me some money or to prevent me from having to run out immediately and wait for it to be filled?
Slap the cuffs on me, I admit it.
This is invasion of privacy, harassment and character assassination, no two ways about it. That "drive by media" comment was closer to the truth than even I thought.
I hope Rush has not removed any tags from mattresses, because that will be next.
They can't refute his ideas, I guess, so they have to do this.
If this had been done to a liberal there would be such an outcry it would be unbelievable.
Will there be a "Plame" type investigation of the leak? there should be.
This harassment of Delay, Rush, etc. has got to stop.
This will backfire and make it more likely that the Republicans keep the House.

Everyone, I have a question.
First of all, I love Rush and I think that this is rediculous that they would report the fact that the drug is viagra and the AP story stating that is basically an invasion of privacy.
Now I haven't been this angry in quite a while. It's wrong to report this and it's wrong in the least that they say it's viagra. So...
I called the AP and left a comment on their comment line, something along the lines of "You wouldn't treat another celebrity like this, it's reprehenisble to report what the drug actually was, and you have lost a reader." Of course it was a bit longer than that, but it's the gist.
Do you guys think that was okay to do? I did it in the haste of the moment, but my girlfriend said that what I said was good and not mean, but truthful. I just think that phone calls get things done, most of the time. What do you think?

No.
Is it a witchhunt?
Yes.
Was Rush negligent in a very vulnerable area?
Undoubtedly.
Do I believe you are a real FReeper?
Not a chance.

Doctors frequently get samples of prescription drugs from drug reps for distribution to their patients. As long as it is documented in the patient's chart and in the office drug log it is legal in Texas...no pharmacy is involved.
I'm glad Rush is getting laid. We need him happy and productive.

Since when did anyone ever look at your pill bottle labels when you go through Customs? We do all the time; it's part of the job. You apparently have no clue what laws CBP enforces.
