Speaking of Goldman Sachs. I hope all our side is happy now. Goldman Sachs is head of the consortium taking over the Ports from the British firm now in charge.

Speaking of Goldman Sachs, Jon Corzine used to be that company's general partner when he was on Wall Street.

As I am in NJ, that is well known here. It is also well known that he was kicked out of GS while on vacation.

Best part, the new Treasury Secretary is the very same guy who dumped Corzine from GS.

Sweet, isn't it!

Corslime mired in budget battles with his own party!

Two arabs building bombs in a garage nearly took down the WTC in 1993. If the van had been parked in a different spot the building would have fallen.

The libs are trying to position themselves to take credit when the phased withdrawals begin by their constant yammering about pulling out.

They are also counting on President Bush following the Reaganesque theory that it doesn't matter who gets the credit for doing a good thing as long as it gets done. This is one time that W needs to abandon that usually good theory.

Your link to Little Green Footballs was a wake up read this morning. What a downer to start the week!

The Brits are racing to destruction. Isn't there any kind of conservative thought left in that country?

I think the President knows this, too. I think this is why he doesn't get distracted by all of the petty complaints. His eye is on the goal, and he is determined to get there.

I firmly believe he will be remembered as the man who saved western civilization.

I agree. And, this is why the left hates him so much! How dare a Republican conservative be acknowledged as anything but a failure!

We have all known that Juan is stupid,

He really has to be stupid to say that it will help our cause to have the SWIFT program exposed since the terrorists will now have to use some other means to transfer their money. Even when Brit tried to tell him that we could follow the money when we knew about it but they didn't, Juan didn't understand.

BTW remind me who his wife is....the whole DC crowd is so intermarried.

His wife is Kathleen Matthews, an anchor on one of the network's local nightly news shows. I almost never watch them and so don't know which one it is.

Can you please give me the short version of Karzai's comments. Our media has been full of him complaining that we aren't addressing the root causes of terrorism in his country.

From the transcripts page for CNN Late Edition web site:

June 25, 2006
• Interview With Hamid Karzai; Interview With Hussein Shahristani

AND she kept saying over, and over...how she "holds no thrift with Kim Jong Il"

The phrase is "I hold no brief for..."

Definition from Answers.COM:

Refuse to support, dislike, as in I hold no brief for liars. This term is a negative version of the legal expression hold a brief for, meaning [to support or defend a position by argument.] The noun brief has been used in this way since the 1200s.

The man... excuse me... woman (????) speaks like she's got some really bad dentures.  And this clown represented our country to the world?  What a maroon!  No wonder they thought they could get away with attacking us.

Matt Cooper is officially gone from Time and is joining Conde Nast Portfolio, a business magazine starting up next year. This is definitely not a positive career move. They may try to cover it up, but he was definitely pushed out from Time. They are trying to build up some distance so that they have "plausible deniability."

Since he is a political reporter, first, last and always, his move to a business mag is the equivelant of banishment to Siberia.

OK, Freepers. It's time to pull out all possible contacts and get this story out there. This is the chink in their armor, the break in the dike, the last straw and whatever other cliche you can think of.

They are so toast!!!!!!

Thanks for clearing that up...I wasn't sure if I was hearing her correctly or not...and wasn't sure what she was really trying to say either.

You are a big help, as usual.

I found her protesting her "dislike" of Kim Jong Il a little TOO much..like someone that has some guilt to hide.

My word that is very interesting!

I have no contacts, unfortunately. But I'm sure Mr. Hume would like to include this in his two-minute grapevine - most fascinating news - and it is. Drudge Report...this might even get a siren! TKS and Hugh Hewitt might find this interesting too. Just thinking out loud you know all this, of course, silly me.

Wow! This is a very good sign and very big. Wow! This is big.

Thanks for the heads-up!

Could she have possibly meant to say 'shrift' as in short shrift.

Just reminding us again that slick willie chose weaklings for his administration.

OK folks, remember the Ak-Sar-Ben plan, we will get Hagel to think he has a chance at the nomination because the MSM loves him so much. He can't run for Pres and Senate at the same time here.

HAGEL FOR PRESIDENT -- (til after the first primary of course)

Why can't Hagel run for President and Senate at the same time?  Lieberman did.  Just because Bob Dole didn't (he even stepped down from the Senate) I don't think there's a rule, and Hagel doesn't even have the integrity of Joe Lieberman, let alone a Bob Dole.

No, I think the path to Hagel's demise may come through the Kerry campaign aid that he hired.  There have been very good arguments put forward on this thread that this guy could be the source for both the NSA and the SWIFT leaks.  What would that do for his presidential or senatorial prospects?
