'One of the reasons Bush is low in the polls is that the president has lost the respect of the press.' I'd like her to tell us when he had it.
The press mobilized against George Bush at the same time that the rest of the Left did-- when he came out as a Christian in the 2000 campaign.

I watched this on Cavuto. These people are clueless. I'd suggest someone brings over one of those "old" sarin shells, you know, the ones that are harmless, and open one up in Susan's front room.

just watched this... wow are the democrats out-of-touch...

Ridiculous! I think we can all remember when Geraldo was giving out information during the first Gulf War.

The Constitution prohibits the federal government from preventing me from expressing my political views peacefully in print or in speech. NOWHERE is treason protected, nowhere!

'The US Constitution absolutely protects a reporter's and a paper's right to publish top secret military information.' I can think of nothing that would renew my spirits more than a vigorous prosecution of "Punch" Sulzberger for treason. And such a prosecution would certainly put an end to such flatulent nonsense as this quote.
I fail to understand the reluctance to go forward I seem to detect on the part of our federal government.

If my memory is correct, during the Reagan years the media actually reported movement by the Army Rangers, by reporting their mysterious departures, speculating that somewhere on the globe something would hit the fan soon.

During the Civil War General Sherman said reporters were spies and he treated them as such. Some things never change.

The biggest reason Bush is down in the polls has little to do with the media and evrything to do with gas prices.

Susan,
You may be right, but don't we the American taxpayer have a right to know the source of the leek? I'd like to know who gave the paper(s) the story.
PS-Oh and BTW lest we forget...your opinions continue to be irrelevant..
