In a major national security address Wednesday Democratic presidential contender John Kerry was sounding an alarm about premature U.S. withdrawal from Iraq. I fear that in the run-up to the 2004 election the administration is considering what is tantamount to a cut-and-run strategy, Kerry said in remarks prepared for delivery to the Council on Foreign Relations.
The Massachusetts senator accused Bush and his aides of a sudden embrace of accelerated Iraqification and American troop withdrawal without adequate stability, which he called an invitation to failure.
He contended that it would be a disaster and a disgraceful betrayal of principle to accelerate the transfer of authority to Iraqis so as to allow a politically expedient withdrawal of American troops.

This man is such a joke.
He was against "Cut-and Run" before he was for it?............
And to think that this man was the democrats choice!
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Man I hope they run him again!
"....This man is such a joke..."
Yes, Kerry is a joke, but the real clowns are his followers...
Are they blind to his ways???
And to make matters worse...he's not even funny. Pathetic is more my term for him.
bump
The liberals are also real clowns, too.
But the bigger fools are the people who buy into their insanity.
At least his alcoholic wife has some charm.
So much for cut-and-run Murtha.
See them flip, see them flop!
Beyond the obvious Kerry flip-flop, it also shows the DEMs using the phrase "cut and run" for political gain. Nowadays they whine that it's an unfair use of words.
It is very embarrassing to live in MA. What is amazing is that he is on record for so many of his flip flops and no one in the (lame)MSM calls him on it.
This alleged "senator" / American citizen is such a joke that he's giving flip-flops a bad name.
Sorry about that...
:)
It's absolutely brilliant for you to find and post this.
I was confused at first, till I noticed the Dec 3 date, till I went to MSNBC to figure out they were not the ones to remind us of Kerry's previous position.
Did you have this column bookmarked?
Thanks for the read, and the flip-flopping reminder that John Kerry will say anything in order to criticize President Bush. Contradicting himself, double back flip-flopping doesn't even seem to embarrass him.
Typical lawyer. Tries to make mush out of the brains of the opponent by double-think offense and twisting of the truth.
Un-frickin'-believable. This idiot still thinks he can just say what he wants for expepediency's sake, and no one will ever check him out. What malignant hubris.
I'll repeat what others here have said: We truly dodged one huge, lethal bullet in '04!
Great job in the archives, WCC!
love your # 11 too.
Let me get this straight here.
Back when G. H. W. Bush was President, Kerry was against the war and voted against the use of force, then claimed we had failed because we followed the U.N to the letter and left Saddaam in power.
When Clinton attacked Iraq to purposely distract MonicaGate and impeachment, Kerry said Saddaam was a brutal dictator, and was supportive of Clinton's use of force without U.N approval that failed to remove Saddaam.
Before he was running for President, he voted for the use of force, but was against sending in troops with U.N. approval.
While he was running, he was for the war on terror with U.N. approval, but against the war in Iraq, but against the timetable of bringing them home, but didn't regret his vote authorizing force. (nuance?)
Yesterday, he regreted his vote, was for the war in Iraq, but wanted to bring our troops home on a timetable.
Has he "re-stated" his position today after his bill went down in flames? That was DEFINITELY a Flop, so the next one must be the Flip.
