It would be much better to do it at CAIR, doing it at a Mosque, unless they are actively providing verbal support for the Jihadi's, is going to ring nothing but negative press on you.

This is a highly militant saudi funded wahabi mosque, it's even the same mosque that Sgt. Akbar went to, the guy who threw the grenades and killed a bunch of fellow soldiers.

"How many people do you expect to come?"

Depends on how many FReepers want to come out! We've got a bunch of Coptic Christians as well as grassroots activists coming out, we need the FReepers on top of that! Come on out! This is going to be fun!

Good gracious, whatever has become of Culver City?

Be careful, CaliFReeper1, the creeps in the Wahaabist mosque (and in the Wahaabist LA Times) might be dangerous.

Info for you vigil about this Mosque:

1. Saudi hijackers Nawaf al Hazmi and Khalid al
Mihdhar upon their arrival in America, they promptly made the King Fahd mosque the center of their lives, the base from which they received assistance, made friends, and no doubt could find moral reinforcement -- perhaps including from the mosque reading material -- to justify their planned terror mission against New York’s twin towers. Fahad al Thumairy, a King Fahd mosque imam at that time, was a wellknown Wahhabi extremist and Saudi diplomat whom the U.S. expelled for suspected terrorism in 2003.

2. Imperialism and the various forces of infidelity and unbelief are able to make inroads within the Muslim world largely due to the lethargy and the “napping” of Muslims.
According to a document, published by the nternational House for Islamic Books in Riyadh and collected from the Saudi-financed King Fahd Mosque in Los Angeles, this failure is seen by Wahhabis as primarily the fault of moderate Muslims, who are either “confused” or under the spell of corrupting Western ideas and influences.

3. Muslims who convert out of Islam, of course, are apostates too, and, under Saudi law, they are to be put to death. An Urdu-language publication, published by the Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs and gathered from the King Fahd Mosque, quotes Sheik Bin Uthaimin preaching this policy:
“[O]ur doctrine states that if you accept any religion other than Islam, like Judaism or Christianity, which are not acceptable, you become an unbeliever. If you do not repent, you are an apostate and you should be killed because you have denied the Koran.”

4. In a book published by the Ascension Printing House in Saudi Arabia and distributed to a number of mosques in the United States including the King Fahd Mosque in Los Angeles, California, which was built with $8 million in direct donations from Saudi King Fahd and his son, the issue of Christian missionary activity is linked to a continuation of the Crusades. The Wahhabi text reads:
“He is wrong who thinks that the Crusaders’ hate for Islam and the Muslims was over with at the end of the Crusades; it remains with us even today if only in a different form from that which it had before. Converting Muslims into Christians is one of the most obvious faces of this malicious movement, which started spreading in some Muslim countries to finally uproot Islam from its people.”

5. Christian missionaries today, adds the Saudi text, are simply continuing what the Crusades of the medieval period had attempted and failed at, namely a direct assault on the two holiest mosques in Islam. This latest attack being waged by Christian missionaries employs an insidious indirect approach that is both flexible and appealing.
The picture painted by this Saudi author is that the forces of unbelief are engaged in a global and concerted effort to target not only the two holy places of Mecca and Medina, but Islamic beliefs, laws, history, language, culture, and thought—indeed the Muslims themselves. This targeting is presumably part of a vast and coordinated plot, according to the book found in the Saudi King’s mosque in Los Angeles:
“It is no secret that all these challenges are working very
diligently together under one plan, and with the help of the forces of evil and misguidance. They recruited every vile person who left his religion, every big mouth; they hired even questionable writers; they supported every sect which split from Islam with money and politics all over the world.”

When the IRA bombs somebody in Britain, do you protest in front of the local Catholic parish? Unless you have evidence that this Mosque is supporting the beheaders, the coverage of your protest will portray you as simpleminded religious bigots.
