Former U.S. Senator and presidential candidate, George McGovern, says he has encouraged Tom Daschle to run for president in 2008.
McGovern lost to Republican Richard Nixon in the 1972 election. Eight years later he lost his bid for re-election to the Senate.
McGovern expects up to a dozen people to run for the Democratic nomination for president, and he says Daschle has as good a chance as anyone.
Daschle expects to make a decision by year's end on whether he'll run.
I thought McGovern was dead. He's certainly brain dead. What is it with old deranged politicians giving others advice with spittle and drool running down their chins?
Goerge: Wanna see another one of these?
Note the pattern of stating opinion as fact and not bothering to offer any evidence for verification. Don't waste a calorie on this retard.
I like President Tom Thumb better.
Dash couldn't win, too short.
Both of these losers should be running for President of France not the USA! The national Dems now appear more like European leftists than the party of JFK or Truman. Changing addresses would benefit our entire nation. Can't you see Nancy and Reid in Paris???
I guess that McGovern is concerned that sKerry, Hitlery, Gorbot, Edwards and all of these other prominent Demodogs don't have much of a chance to get Americans to vote for them. Thrashing around for a candidate, and a position.
Reminds me of the other Demodog problem that they're admitting: defining an "issue" since that fool "New Direction" literature they're pushing doesn't have ONE WORD of mention about the two most important issues for Americans: Iraq and immigration.
