>WASHINGTON (CNN) -- FBI agents were raiding sites in Miami, Florida, on Thursday in connection with a domestic terrorism investigation, law enforcement sources said.
The FBI said one search warrant was being executed in the Liberty City area of Miami. Officials said no weapons or bomb-making materials had been found in the searches so far.
"We are conducting a number of arrests and searches, and we'll have more about that when the operation is completed, probably tomorrow morning," FBI Director Robert Mueller told CNN's Larry King in an interview to be broadcast Thursday.

Sounds like the Keystone Cops of the Islamic terrorist world. They cared little about protecting their anonymity. It was not much of a secret in their mostly Haitian neighborhood that something suspicious was happening within that building.
But who cares if they had ties to al Qaeda or not. Al Qaeda is not the be all and end all when it comes to Islamic terrorism. There are many such groups, and splinter groups, and want-to-be groups, and they all pose a great and deadly threat, and have a common purpose, to destroy America, destroy Israel and it’s allies, and destroy any religious society not Islamic. They may not all work together, but they all play a part in the plot, weather big or small.

My husband is now working in a building just a block over from Sears Tower. I guess this is good news that the Feds caught these guys.
I work roughly 100 yards from the Sears Tower. No one really thinks about terror anymore around here. What was troubling about an article I read in the Sun-Times this morning, was that one of this groups sympathizers admitted that they have "soldiers" in Chicago.
I recall earlier this year, a few Islamics were seen suspiciously videotaping the Sears Tower, briefly detained, then released. I wonder if that led to the roll-up of this cell...
Terror Suspects Arrested In Miami Warehouse
(CBS4/AP) MIAMI The F-B-I says more details about an alleged terrorist plot will be released in a pair of news conferences Friday morning. One out of Washington D.C. at 10:30 a.m. and another out of Miami at 11:30 a.m.
CBS4 has confirmed one of the suspects is 32 year old construction worker Nasir Baptiste of Carol City. That information came from family members of the man, who claim he is not a terrorist.
Ariane Webster, who identified herself as Baptiste’s godmother, said, “I believe that’s a stone lie. I’ve known Nasser for 5 years. I’ve never known him to get in any trouble, or to have problems with anybody.”
G.J.G Atheea, a Master at the Morrisigns Masonic Temple where Baptiste was an Elder, claims Baptiste was approved by men who offered to fund him for whatever he wanted to do, “as far as some subversive work. They would give him whatever he needed.” Atheea claimed Baptiste was not interested, and didn’t accept what the men had to offer. He denied Baptiste was a terrorist. The Temple was also raided by agents Thursday.
What's strange is that there are metal barriers which were set up yesterday around the Merc'. They're still there today. I don't know of any protests or parades planned (Gay Pride parade is on Halsted - GAG!)

What in the world is that? Is this a sort of "Black Masons" thing? Actually, Masonic lodges (or Shriners, actually) often do have a quasi-Islamic decorating theme, so I suppose this might be what attracted them. A group of black Muslim nutcases I used to see on the street in New York wore what was clearly Shriner-type regalia.

I know these men (thugs) have been reported to being muslim, but are any of them connected to a gang? Or has this been mentioned? We keep hearing rumors that there are gangs being affiliated with muslims and I was curious to see if this is the case with the ones captured in Miami.
