Author obviously has no idea what the word "furious" means.

The rest of the world is so amazingly ignorant, it boggles the mind.

I would be too if all I had was BBC/CNN International.

The President put the kibosh on a sniveling Euroweenie leftist. I'm sick and tired of Europe blaming us for all the world's ills. If it weren't for us, they'd still be living in post-war ruin.

Regardless of whether "furious" is an exaggeration, sharp anger is certainly justified. I want to look these people in the eyes and shake them. "Think! Let's defeat this menace together!!"

Put the typical European in a room with two other people. One a mature, male cop, and the other a young Middle Eastern male in traditional Muslim garb.

Both of them have a weapon. The cop has a hand gun and the Muslim has a long knife.

When the European is asked which is the greater threat, who does the European point to?

The cop.

Why?

Because he's holding a gun.

Don't worry about the anti Americanism from media and loaded polls; I'm sure the Western leaders all know who the best hope is for civilisation!

Even before Mr Bush landed for the one-day meeting in Vienna, his host, the Austrian chancellor, Wolfgang Schuessel, had made clear he would be demanding the closure of the Guantanamo Bay prison camp, in the name of the European Union.

I'd like to remind Wolfgang that his pissant country is so insignificant that his demands are an utter joke.

"It's absurd, is my statement," Mr Bush snapped, taking the microphone ahead of the president of the European Commission in his haste to answer the question.

How dishonest, the question was asked directly of the President so of course he answered it. He was not furious, he was bemused and a bit disgusted, as was I when I heard this nonsense.

The Bush administration has previously faced sharp criticism and opposition from Europe for proposing to send terrorist suspects to such nations, where they may face torture or the death penalty.

Hey, wait. I thought we were doing the torture?

No?

The left is spinning so hard I am dizzy.

Bush is always on the defensive. He never goes on the attack. Of course the claim that the US is a bigger threat than Korea or Iran is absurd. And he's right to say that. But he's wrong not to point a finger at the left and say: this is the work of the leftist in America, the leftists in Europe and leftists all over the world. The Left hates America because the Left hates freedom. Until he says that, he'll continue to be playing defense.

Let's close Club Gitmo and send all the current vacationers to EU. I'm sure they would love to have more terrorists to give welfare to.

"a journalist's question about opinion polls, asking why most Europeans believe the United States is a greater menace than Iran or North Korea"

Easy.
Because Europeans are stupid.
Duh!

"The Bush administration has previously faced sharp criticism and opposition from Europe..."

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH -- and yet, this same Europe would be begging for our help if they were attacked by these same terrorists and needed our military help. Makes me sick!

Conspicuously absent from this report is the strong and commanding defense of American and Pres Bush by the Austrian chancellor, Wolfgang Schuessel.

Bush also made a great statement missing, as usual, from this report, that "I don't govern by polls"... in response to the condescending liberal reporter's reading of various skewed polls.
