ITHACA NYAccording to Gannett news, theres no question that recent presidents have appointed radical right-wing judges to the bench.
In the Monday (June 19) issue of the Ithaca Journal, reporter Raymond Drumsta wrote that Congressman Maurice Hinchey (D) appeared at a local event and railed about issues such as
radical right-wing judges appointed by recent presidents and America's prison population.
At no point in the article did Drumsta, or his editor, see fit to note that this was a matter of opinion. Instead, the story reported the characterization of the judges as if it were fact.
In addition to his work for Gannett, Drumsta, a former military reporter, works as a freelance writer. It is unknown whether he or his editor failed to note that the Journal article was assuming facts not in evidence.
Gannett news has come under fire in the past for bias. In 2002, journalist William McGowan, in his book Coloring the News, described how Gannetts corporate policies required editors to assign and craft stories and news content in order to meet the chains diversity goals.

I saw Ithaca and knew this was crapola. Read Coloring the News. It will vindicate any thoughts you had about media.

Gannett is run by anti-American liberals.
The cartoonist in my local paper Matt Davies is from England or Ireland, whatever.
He won a Peabody for his hate-filled anti-Bush, anti-military, anti-conservative cartoons.
Meanwhile sales of 'The Journal News' have steadily plummeted.

Seems that respect for the language and intent of the Constitution -- as well as regard for personal liberty and the right to property -- makes someone a "right wing radical".
Sheesh!

If that courthouse was a ship, then it would be leaning to "port", which is the left side.

radical right-wing judges appointed by recent presidents Recent President? Do they think Ruth Bader Ginsberg is a Radical Right Wing Judge?
Hmm.
Of course their definition of "Radical Right Wing Judge" is one who goes to the text of the Constitution first, not Scottish law, or emanations from the penumbra of the Constitution. Only if the text is unclear, and I can't think of anywhere that it is, do they look to precedent, or even Common Law. ( Which is nothing more than English precedent anyway).

Upstate congressmen should be thankful for the prison population explosion. If not for incarcerated downstate badguys, upstate's population would be a lot smaller, and there'd be even fewer seats for congressslimes.
