After being in Vienna for the EU-US summit for talks ranging from the Iran nuclear standoff to ways of reducing the West's foreign energy dependence, President and Mrs. Bush arrived in Budapest for a brief visit. The Bush's and SoS Rice listened to the Vienna Boys' Choir, among other cultural activities.
President and Mrs. Bush participated in a roundtable with foreign students in Vienna.
Sorry...that should be Wolfang Schuesel not Fischer......
Sabrina passed third grade.
Earlier in the school year, having discovered how much she wanted to do this, I promised her I'd take her to the zoo and for a (kid's) meal in reward for all her hard work. When I told her the plan, she was speechless for joy, and after a few sentences to ascertain the details, she said, "You won't forget, will you?" I promised her I would not be able to forget.
There are some truly gorgeous photos tonight -- some great places to visit, and the times are not (outwardly) troubled.
You bet. I wish I had seen the TV stuff. I just have basic cable again and miss Fox.
Oh my goodness how funny. I cant believe I missed this!
Great news about Sabrina when are you taking her to the zoo?
What a gorgeous cathedral .. breathtaking.
Wonder why........ :)
FOX NEWS ALERT: Chemical weapons found in Iraq! REAL ONES! I hope the Dims are starting to cry . . . what stupid thing will they say next? I bet George is smiling too. :-)
How can people do that to animals? I'd love the links although I won't get to them till tomorrow; I STILL haven't made supper--LOL!
Good news about Sabrina. Thanks for telling us about her.
Oh..........just turned on the TV and saw Alan Colmes..........MUTE.
Whatever you can't get done . . . will wait. My mom used to insist the house was clean before we left for a trip, and drove herself (and sometimes us--haha!) making sure it was before we left. Now, I like to have it picked up and neat, but don't always succeed. But I don't stress myself out.
I'm glad you're not going to the "bad" places; you can keep up on the news without that. But I know what you mean about feeling like you have to reply, esp. when the comments are so off base sometimes. Some of those people have no concept of reality. You hang in there, OK?
Great news re: Sabrina! You are certainly a blessing in her life. I'm glad she's keeping in touch with you!
It's good to see you around again.
George and Laura look like they still have their act together..........eh?? ;)
Hey
prayer request- my dad got fired today. My family is tight strapped for money so I appreciate all the prayers. My mom pays the rent on the apartment and my dad does the bills.

Alan Colmes is such a dud. He's so desparate to be "right", I don't think he listens to what he is actually saying. I really like Santorum; have you read his book? Pretty touching stuff about a baby he and his wife had. Prenatal tests showed a life-threatening deformity, and they were offered the choice of abortion, which of course they didn't take. I don't remember if the baby lived for a few hours or days, but they cherished every moment. A very powerful story.
Ann Coulter will be on later; she's a bit too strident for me sometimes but boy, she cuts to the quick and with people who deserve it! I wish I could think as quickly as she does.
Now, it's REALLY time to make supper!
