I'm mad.
The New York Times wants closed. The San Jose Mercury News claims that Gitmo nurtures a culture of death. The Cleveland Plain Dealer wants Gitmo closed. Journalists and editorial staffs are up in arms that there might possibly be some kind of torture occurring.
So what do they say when torture OBVIOUSLY occurs? How do they react when two U.S. servicemen — in -approved uniforms — have their hearts cut out, their testicles cut off, their penises cut off and stuffed in their mouths, arms contorted and eyes gouged? THIS is torture.

And why the American public "tolerates", (to use the pre-leftist hijacking and redefining of that term), the MSM pandering to CAIR and other Islamofascist apologists.
That is the most pitiful comment I have heard on this forum. We all have jobs; we all support our troops through taxes. My point was that we should have the initiative to get out on the street and make a showing. It is not beneath our dignity - is it? Is it not manly enough? If not, signup for a tour.
I, too, am stirred, not shaken.
I think a Phillipines-style response would be most appropriate - but first we need to "clear the room" with a few MOAB's...
Much more of this and I'll be signing up with the pull out now brigade
I agree. This sucks! And further, I want to see some terrorists heads roll...literally.
I want to kill these psycho terrorists myself. My husband wrote me the following:
Do not despair. We are winning this war if you let them get you down, they win. Mourn for a short time and move on; do not despair.
Weve got work to do and we are doing it.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
Isaiah 6:8
The Ranger Creed
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of my Ranger Regiment.
Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move farther, faster and fight harder than any other soldier.
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be. One-hundred-percent and then some.
Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow.
Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.
Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.
Yes, I believe so. ALthough the military has not released details, what E.D. describes is common practice for those savages.
Their "fear" didn't stop them from taking to the streets and cheering the 9/11 attack.
We've all got jobs.
Paging Amnesty International and Bianca: the Anti-American COWARDLY, PHONY Human Rights whores!!!
Just before World War I, there were a number of terrorist attacks on the United States forces in the Philippines by Muslim extremists. So General Pershing captured 50 terrorists, and had them tied to posts for execution. He then had his men bring in two pigs and slaughter them in front of the, now horrified, terrorists.
Muslims detest pork, because they believe pigs are filthy animals. Some of them simply refuse to eat it, while others won't even touch pigs at all, nor any of their by-products. To them, eating or touching a pig, its meat, its blood, etc., is to be instantly barred from Paradise (and those virgins), and doomed to hell.
The soldiers then soaked their bullets in the pigs' blood, and proceeded to execute 49 of the terrorists by firing squad. The soldiers then dug a big hole, dumped in the terrorist's bodies, and covered them in pig blood, entrails, etc. They let the 50th man go.
And for the next 42 years, there was not a single Muslim extremist attack anywhere in the world.
Maybe it is time for this segment of history to repeat itself, maybe in Iraq? The question is, where do we find another Black Jack Pershing?
I saw the clip and the press chose to portray him as shaken. NOT. He was angry and had to choose his words carefully. These were his boys and if he has anything to do with it, hell will rain down.
I heard this on Rush the other day. I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere else though. The caller noted that it was a bad command decision to leave them unguarded.
We could take care of that easily with the one weapon we should, but won't use. If we had used one after 9/11, none of our troops would be in harms way over there now.
Let the rest of the world scream and holler. I'd rather they fear us than like us.
.
God bless your husband. I have all faith in them and never will it falter.
Is it pay back time? Yes.
Go Bush, screw the euroweenies!
Thank you, Tom, for your thread. That is exactly what I was asking yesterday. WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE?!
Even among Conservative talking heads I was not hearing enough anger and condemnation and call to action.
Now I'm going to go back and read the thread and see what others have said...
