Warm Fuzzy Wednesday Poetry
New In Town
I'm moving kind of slowly, so please don't frown
Because I'm just kind of new in town
Surrounded by all these odd scents and sounds
I'm so new that my eyes haven't begun to open, dark blue and round
I don't want to stray too far and not be found!
So, I'll just mosey about in my own little space
While I slowly become familiar with this dark and intriguing place
I know that Mother is around, since I can easily sense a trace
Of her watching closely with silent determined grace
While I figure out my limits at a slow and cautious pace
There's an entirely new batch of scents that I am beginning to taste
Odd and mysterious, so I won't make much haste
As something gently brushes around my ears and chin
It feels so wonderful that I begin to giggle and grin
Deliciously seduced by the touch of my first Human!
