Just showing you how silly your statement looked. ;)
Very kind of you dear. What you don't realize is the background.
When investigating the mysterious death of a priest who was involved with exposing homosexual sex abuse in the Albany Catholic diocese a couple years ago, it came to my attention that many of the reporters spinning the story in favor of the extremely gay-friendly Bishop Hubbard--who was himself accused of sex abuse with boys--were *deeply* involved in the "gay" community themselves. It would be like having secret members of The Christian Coalition writing puff stories about Pat Robertson during one of his many mini-scandals.
Get it now?

I can understand that, yes. A reporter's background can matter when it comes to the reporting of a story, and I concede the point in your example.
What I "get", mostly, is the urge for a very hot shower with a great deal of soap and a scrub brush, when you call me "dear" (shuddering).
