``The news is going to be heartbreaking for my family,'' Ken MacKenzie, uncle of Army Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, told NBC's ``Today'' show. ``Because the U.S. government did not have a plan in place, my nephew has paid for it with his life,'' he said..."

Another victim doing the dirty work of the Liberal talking points committee. Ann Coulter is right about the Libs using people like this soldier's uncle to 'appeal' to the masses!

I don't imagine that the a-holes that did this offered to negotiate.

Ann Coulter has taken that weapon away from them forever. All we have to do is point it our when they do this.

I believe the plan is, and I could be wrong, is to kill the enemy before they kill you and win the war.

I will give an uncle the right to say anything he wants about the loss of his nephew, but in terms of valuing this quote, what the hell would somebody's uncle know about the details or absence of a plan in Iraq involving what the military does when soldiers are captured during combat? Obviously, there is a plan and they implemented it, but not every combat loss can be planned out of existence.

That is B.S. The uncle knows what he is saying. I don't buy "he said it in grief." I lost family members in Nam. I did not go on TV and whine get them out of Nam. Another 15 minutes of fame. He will shortly join Cindy and get more lib face time. Anything to damn the troops. This young warrior knew the chances he was taking when he joined. Apparently he did not whine about it. So the uncle should shut up and quit dishonoring the young man. he should take his ass out there and shout HOW PROUD HE IS OF THIS YOUNG MAN FOR DOING WHAT HE DID. Not putting his face on TV to whine.

I agree. Of course, there is never any mention of it being an all volunteer army and those who sign up know what their obligations are. Yes, use the uncle as a shill. It is what the Dem's and MSM have to offer. What a bunch of schmucks! I thank each and every individual who puts on the uniform of the United States and say to those who live in the BLAME world to button up their mouth. WAR IS HELL AND THERE IS NO TELLING WHAT THE CONSEQUENCES OF WAR MAY BE! Of course the liberals once again desire to cut and run. Only in America!

You know, I don't mind them making a statement asking for prayers for the family, etc. but I HATE when they turn a tragic situation like this into a Bush/America bashing opportunity!! >:-(

Apparently the Libs didn't convert them, or I'm sure this article wouldn't have missed the opportunity to blame Bush, et al for going to war for oil, etc!
The shame.

I wonder if the Saudis send little "gifts" to these people.
To: pillut48
I have a question...
Does the press confirm that these people are actually related to the soldiers? Or do they just find someone, anyone, no matter how remotely related, to talk negatively?
