(CBS) CHICAGO A Mt. Prospect teacher accused of attempting to meet up with a 13-year-old boy for sex has been arrested for Internet solicitation of a minor.
Carmel, Ind. police caught the man, Chad Roby, in a sting operation.
Roby has worked at River Trail Middle School for six years, according to Dr. Terry Barker of Mt. Prospect School District.
He taught sixth grade English and Drama. Roby has been suspended with pay and the school district is waiting on the outcome of the investigation, Barker said.
Roby was also a coach with the Glenview Youth Baseball Organization. He has been involved with the organization for over 10 years.
Since the arrest, the organization has contacted parents, players, and assistant coaches involved with Mr. Roby's teams over the years, according to a statement issued from organization.
"After speaking with them, we have no reason to believe that Mr. Roby's alleged misconduct in any way involved our program or players," the statement said.

He's a 6th grade teacher, where the age of the students is 12 and 13.
The boy he was accused of trying to molest is 13.
He knows he has a problem with this. He takes a job teaching kids of this age. He's searching for victims. A true predator.

He may or may not be guilty of the charge, but as an English and Drama teacher he doesn't have much hope of beating the rap.
I'm wondering when some of the cheerleaders for teen sex on FR are going to say how they wish they'd been approached by a male teacher as kids. There's always a group of such posts on the female teacher/male student threads.
And FR does have its gay posters too.
