Yep, maybe with Roberts and Alito as justices, this mangled interpretation will be struck down.

Please point to me where the phrase "separation of church and state" appears in the Constitution.

As I noted on the related posting, it was lucky that the Commissars of Free Speech were there to protect everyone from this dangerous counterrevolutionary. Uncontrollable theism might have broken out! (/sarcasm off)

Government schools have an impossible conundrum. They can NOT do two things at once. They can NOT respect this young woman's right to free speech without also at the same time imposing her beliefs on an essentially captive audience.
This is merely one example among HUNDREDS where government schools can not be respectful to all who attend.
The government schools regardless of its decision WILL establish the worldview of some ( with religious consequences) and undermine the worldview of others ( with religious consequences).
For those who believe that strict secularism is the answer, no it is NOT. Scrubbing the environment of God merely teaches the students that religion is somehow shameful and needs to be hidden like a bathroom activity. Also...scrubbing the environment of religious expression is a violation of our First Amendment right to free speech, free press, and free assembly.
The solution is to begin the process of privatizing universal K-12 education. Let parents, teachers, and parents decide these matters privately in private settings.
