Please point to me where the phrase "separation of church and state" appears in the Constitution.

I was told once that it only appears in the Constitution of the former USSR.

It's right there next to the part that says women can have an abortion anytime they want.

It doesn't. It appears in The Danbury Papers, a series of letters exchanged by Jefferson with some Danbury, CT baptists. Jefferson was an athiest and a rapist (not that he was all bad, mind you. He was a great writer.) What do you expect?
