Why does it not say who or where the announcement was made?

So Michael Savage is auctioning off his car and giving HALF the proceeds for the soldiers' legal funds.

Rush would have given 100%.

What you said bears repeating.... a lot.

I've had a gut full of this nonsense.

I don't know what happened and I don't give a rats a$$ what happened.

These people are the enemy and evil. The bastards should be shot on sight, not put up at the Hotel Hilton so they can complain about how badly they're treated.

The commies on the left and MSM won't be satisfied till they have our fighting heroes scared of their own shadows and we lose many more of them

Put Murtha, Pelosi, Reid and the rest of the left tilted on the front lines or working in a detention area and see how they'd react when confronted. They'd probably close their eyes and unload an AK-47 at anything that moved.

I'll give the benefit of the doubt until I'm proven wrong.

Please excuse my complete ignorance, but what is a "multi-national force"? Is that what they call the Iraqi troops integrated in with our troops??

This then sounds like these fellows have been accused in some manner, seeming near credible, and the military is doing due dilegence, to protect its integrety, and holding them pending an Article 32 hearing. This is equivelent to a grand jury proceeding to see if a formal Court Martial is warranted.

Charged doesn't mean guilty.

Correct. It is not the arrest or charges that get you. It is the conviction that gets you.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060619/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_soldiers_charged

A noncommissioned officer and two soldiers each have been charged with violating several articles of the Uniform Code of Military Justice including murder, attempted murder, conspiracy, communicating a threat, and obstructing justice," the military said in a statement from Tikrit, Iraq.

The three Iraqi detainees died during an operation May 9 near Thar Thar Canal in Salaheddin province, the statement said.

"during an operation"...seems key to me.

I want to know how the Military announces such things. Do they come out during a daily briefing, are they faxed to the news outlets? I want to find the announcement and compare it to waht I'm reading in the MSM.

The article states the 3 were in custody when they died. I still will not be like Murtha and the rest of the scumbags and have them proven guilty in the media until all the facts are out

I'd think the Article 32 investigation and hearing have already taken place.

The multinational force is US plus any other forces from various countries that are also in Iraq. It isn't referencing Iraqis, which are referred to seperately.

In any action involving US forces, even if it refers to multinational forces, that as I understand it doesn't mean other foreign forces participated in that particular action, it just means that now instead of referring to US forces in Iraq it refers to multinational forces, to make clear there are others in Iraq besides ourselves.
