Actually, it is important.
What is the point of this story (other than getting the "warm fuzzies") if we never find out if the measure passed or not.
Yeah, the gesture makes everyone (other than death-loving liberals) feel good but really.... without the results what is this other than (a) representative exploiting this poor child's cerebal palsy; or (b) a feel-good meaningless gesture designed to garner votes?
(Okay - I suppose (a) and (b) are the same thing . . . )
Personally, I think that giving abortion a face and a name (in the shape of a victim of a fumbled abortion,) did more to further the pro-life cause than the result of a meaningless non-binding vote to congratulate the abortion mills.
Show a pro-"choice" myrmidon the actual results of the so-called "procedure" and all you will get from them is equivocation...they can't handle it, which is why they destroy and persecute pro-life displays.
Rep Harvey did enough to shine a light on the gruesome abortion industry with a very simple gesture.
The "poor child" was delighted. Some "exploitation."
Are you one of those folks who operates under the delusion that cynicism is a sign of maturity and/or intelligence?
This was an opportunity for this woman to fight back, for herself and others. The more opportunities she gets the greater(both qualitatively and quantitatively) the results will be.
