CC Radio Dittos, there are alot of good and bad radios out there. But, the CC Radio is best for talk radio. Especially distant talk radio stations, less fade. The CC is backed if you have a problem.
Another great radio is the refurbished Grundig Satellite 800, if you have the room, but AM performance not as good as CC.
Also, a good radio in the $100 or less range is the Sangean ATS 505, compact, good audio, and receives SSB & CW.
Long live Drudge and Talk Radio!
I have a little hand-held Sony that has synchronous detection with single sideband..but it doesn't work well for KFI, for some reason. KFI just stinks anymore. I use my CCR every Sunday.
I guess it depends on where you are , and whether or not you get a lemon of a radio to begin with as far as the quality of reception you get.
Where can I get a Grundig 800? cheap?
(controlling drool factor)
Thanks for the radio info. Will get tha CCPlus. Much appreciated.
I got the 818CS about 10 yrs. ago. I use it for SW and local AM. The recorder quit on me but I don't use it anyway. My display quit last year on my CC so I called them to get it fixed. They fixed it. No charge and no return shipping charge. They do what they say.
