I love my CCRadio Plus....I bought it from the BARGAIN BIN on the ccrane.com site 4 years ago, and it has worked like a charm (a return item for $20 off) It is the best radio I own for AM reception and talk....
And I also have a Grundig 800 (which was $399), a GE Superadio III at my office, used to have a Grundig Yachtboy 400 (one of the German made ones) but accident fried it somehow after 10 years....
I was looking at that Eton E1 (fomerly the Grundig Satellite 900) that has the AM/FM/XM/Shortave all built in, but they have been recalled due to assembly errors and other problems (built in India)
Nestle picking up Jenny Craig? Isn't her business San Diego based?
I like Matt's take fatten you up with Nestle products and help you shed weight with JC!

I agree with you about the satellite thing. I just have no interest.
You may have one of the cheaper (maybe the emergency one?) versions of the Grundig.
I once tested the 300 and the 400 side by side on my kitchen counter and the 300 picked up almost nothing.
I returned it.

I have both the Grundig YB 400 PE ("Yacht Boy") and the CC Radio. IMHO the CC Radio is much better at AM reception than the Grundig (but they are really different classes of radios - the Grundig will do SW, including SSB reception, while the CC will not, and their sizes and form factors are quite different)... I also have several XM radio receivers, and prefer it for some talk radio reception (Drudge, Art Bell, Laura Ingraham) - for example, AM is subject not only to ionospheric degradation, but also to interference from line noise, computer and TV-generated buzzes and whistles, etc., while XM is clear reception (albeit with overly-compressed audio). But you can't get Rush on XM, and indoor antenna positioning can be hit or miss...

The Japanese Minister that said that the missile launch would be an act of war, backed away from that statement although he did say that there would be reprisals.
And then mentioned that he would immediately refer it to the UN Security Council.
I'm sure that Kim Jong il is quaking in his boots.

$600 million for Jenny Craig to Nestle. I was right, JC is based on Carlsbad, CA (San Diego County). I wonder if they'll close up shop and move their headquarters.

Yes, Jennie Craig is San Diego based. $600 million. She and her bubbie Sid, just made a fortune. Not that they were suffering from the shorts before.

Have you been in LA lately? Some chicks go a step further around here and wear belly shirts when they're pregnant.
Nothing Britney could wear would take her out of the spotlight.
