Islamic Jihad Takes Responsibility for Kassam Attack

(IsraelNN.com) The Islamic Jihad terrorist organization has taken responsibility for tonight’s Kassam attacks in Sderot.
The group’s “Jerusalem Brigades” said the rockets were of a type called Kuds 3.
A number of Sderot residents were treated for shock, when a rocket exploded near the town’s public library.

MKs slam diversion of funds to Sderot school protection
Members of the Knesset Finance Committee have criticized Defense Minister Amir Peretz’s decision to allocate some of the funds originally earmarked for securing Israeli communities surrounding Gaza to the shielding of Sderot schools.
Of the NIS 50 million (about USD 11 million) earmarked for the communities, NIS 44 million (USD 9.8 million) were diverted by Peretz toward the protection of 24 Sderot schools. (Ilan Marciano)
