You and I seem to be the only ones with that opinion. He looked as if he dared say one contrary word, Ann would have shredded him like junk mail : )





My take was that he was constrained by two things, first having made more than 140 appearances on the tonite show he was too much a pro to step on her segment, and that the reason he was there, was to promote a mainstream, children's movie, with the potential to be a huge hit.

Really?? I almost felt a little sorry for him...he either was TOLD to be quiet, or, he figured this was not a fight he wanted any part of. Either way, he was quite unhappy, and did not take his eyes off the floor.

Although Carlin has been funny over the 35 or so years he's been doing his standup, his standard left liberal crap is tedious.

Carlin is too smart to be a true Rat. His entire routine is based on seeing through the cracks.

Which would make him a huge cynic, but I don't think he'd deny that either. He's a very wealthy cynic.

His one (weak) joke was to comment on "being [seated] to the right of Ann Coulter."

I'd bet he's a militaristic libertarian at worst.

I understand that most of these guys were from the SAME UNIT that met with Ann LAST YEAR...

...except that MANY of the guys from last year have since been re-deployed back to Iraq...

...and SEVERAL of them could not come because they were attending a funeral -- for one of their guys. :(

THAT certainly puts things in perspective.

OUR problems seem so trivial, in comparison.
