You and I seem to be the only ones with that opinion. He looked as if he dared say one contrary word, Ann would have shredded him like junk mail : )
My take was that he was constrained by two things, first having made more than 140 appearances on the tonite show he was too much a pro to step on her segment, and that the reason he was there, was to promote a mainstream, children's movie, with the potential to be a huge hit.
Carlin's a pretty decent guy, especially for a liberal. Really funny, too!
Carlin is too smart to be a true Rat. His entire routine is based on seeing through the cracks.
Which would make him a huge cynic, but I don't think he'd deny that either. He's a very wealthy cynic.
His one (weak) joke was to comment on "being [seated] to the right of Ann Coulter."
