Which is an amazingly stupid thing to say. Bin Laden in his 1998 Fatwa specifically cites Somalia as one of the reasons why he decided to attack the USA. I sure hope Irey (Murtha's challenger) is rolling tape on this fool. Great last weekend before election day commercial possiblities here.

He mentioned that a couple of time during the debate in the House the other day - - -including the fact that he encouraged both of them to withdraw and they did. As I said on a post re the House debate, if I were him, I wouldn't be advertising that fact - - it was not a smart thing to do then as it only encouraged the terrorists and OBL thinking that the US was weak and that we'd always turn tail and run if we had a few KIA (by saying that, I don't mean to say that any death of any of our troops is insignificant). That just emboldened them into thinking they could hit us at home and we wouldn't do anything and that we'd leave Iraq long before now- - -guess they didn't realize that GWB wasn't going to listen to the likes of Murtha, even if he suffered in the unreliable polls, w the Dims and the MSM>
