It always seems that between Iran, Al Qaeda & NK, that when one is getting seemingly more attention/press coverage, another feels neglected, and must act up again. I was thinking it would be Iran, after oil went below $70. NK has supposedly told our diplomat(s) that they would give nukes to others (during lunchbreak at a diplomatic meeting a few years back).

Sounds like a 1 AM Eastern live thread might be in order. Since Little Kim says this is not a test, might this be a war shot? Perhaps we'll find out if he has nukes after all. Wouldn't that be a flashy way to announce one's entry into the nuclear club.

Wht would they tell everyone to put the NK flag out and watch the TV at 2 PM for a satellite launch? They didn't do this when they shot across the Sea of Japan the last time.
To: NonValueAdded
Nevermind, I see my time estimate was 2 hours too late and we're now in Breaking News.

From Bloomberg:

North Korea is accelerating preparations for a long-range missile test, which ``may be imminent'' the Associated Press said, citing an unidentified U.S. government official.
Satellite photos suggest that about 10 fuel tanks were delivered near to Musudan-ri launch pad in the country's northeast North Hamgyong province, South Korea's Chosun Ilbo newspaper reported today, citing an unidentified South Korean government official. Previous satellite images captured a missile on a truck at the launch pad, news reports said.

I'm sorry; you've probably repeated this before but I just got home a little while ago and would like to know -- what time is the missile launched scheduled?

Either a satellite launch, or an attack on neighbors, or a nuke test.
IMHO.
To: SE Mom
What is the meaning of those fuel tanks?
I'm sorry I'm so far behind on this story that a lot of you are repeating yourselves when I ask these questions.

Well, maybe this "test" will be aimed at Los Angeles. News articles keep saying that this missile can reach the US, so maybe it's not a test, but a real launch.
And if that's the case -- please don't let the libs keep the US from nuking N. Korea and Iran, while they are at it.

Peach, the title was changed to reflect an 11 PM Eastern flag raising. That is assumed to be the launch time.

We must all thank Bill Clinton for his delusional 1996 "Agreed Framework" plan in which
he *gave* North Korea two twin, light water nuclear reactors. Clinton called it his
'plan' so that Congress didn't get to vote on it.
All that was required of North Korea was that they sign a piece of paper stating that they wouldn't use the two nuke reactors to make nuclear bombs. North Korea promptly tore up the paperwork /dumped it in the trash.
Hence, it was Bill Clinton and the democrats who fully armed North Korea with nuclear bombs.
