N. Koreans Ordered To Raise Their Flag At 2PM, and Listen to Broadcast
N. Korean leadership ordered its citizen to raise their flag and listen to their (government) communique from TV in the evening, according to Sankei Shimbun (of Japan), quoting Japanese government sources.
The paper said it is paying attention this development because it could be related to the launch of Taepodong-2.

Okay, thanks.
I'm seeing that this would be the first test; just wanted to make sure I am on the page with all the rest of you.
Reading to catch up!
"Okay, going on record predicting that they're going to try to orbit a satellite.
Me too."
===
They ALWAYS say that. That's their cover story.
I just read in an article, that when they launched a missile towards Japan, they claimed the same thing, but intel agencies confirmed it was a missile, not a satellite launch.
Gee, it sure would be too bad if it was to have some kinda accident or sumptin.
What's the t-minus right now?
I'm totally freaking nuts
Let's get real, unless we plan to do something, how "bad an idea" is it for N Korea to have nukes and ICBM's? Unless we are willing to take them out, from their standpoint it is a GREAT idea to have this type of threat in hand. Isolate them??? They are possibly the most isolated nation on earth.
But it's Nancy Pelosi herself who is counseling us to go easy on the North Koreans. It's her city. It can be her bomb.
Time to lock on a few dozen missiles on North Korea and let the fools have it if their missile even comes close. North Korea belongs in history's trashbin. They earned it and they deserve it-- and they are still in a state of war with the UN and can be greased with legal impunity.
First test of their latest missile. They have lobbed a couple over Japan in the past and possibly had one disintegrate and fall into Alaska.
that's fleeking nuts
"State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said any missile launch by the North Koreans would be a provocation and would violate their 1999 moratorium on long-range missile tests. "
"Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe said a launch would threaten Japanese security and violate an agreement North Korea signed with Japan in 2002 and reaffirmed in 2004."

Sounds omnimous.
Last time Kim told Japan that it was a failed attempt to launch a satellite.
Albright said later, "He immediately turned to me and quipped that this was the first satellite launch and would be the last." The other clue to the terms of trade came in her exchange of toasts with Vice Marshal Cho the next day. "I believe," said Cho, "that our meetings during these two days will help us to move further down the road of cooperation."
I think the guy is mentally ill and is on a severe power trip.
That is why I said this could get interesting.. : )
bump
Do they celebrate Father's Day, and does Kim want to be called 'father'?
And I suppose you wouldn't see any problem with giving a crazed gunman in a hostage situation, a few bottles of booze, some crack, and more ammo?
Pingpong for Taepodong!
Released by Korea News Service in Tokyo on Friday June 16, 2006,
soldiers of the (North) Korean People's Army don gas masks and practice firing
at an undisclosed location on Wednesday June 14, 2006.
I've been wondering, why not just stake out this launch with a Patriot or Arrow missle and shoot it down over international territory and just see what that N. Koreans have to say about that.
