MSNBC: Murtha Is 'Personal Attack' Victim, As Murtha Insults Rove's 'Fat Backside'

On MSNBC's Countdown show on Friday, substitute host Brian Unger featured a softball interview with Democratic Congressman John Murtha during which Unger queued up Murtha to attack the Bush administration's Iraq policy and Republican critics. The Countdown host bolstered Murtha's credibility by referring to his war record and labelling him a "traditional hawk" while he discredited White House advisor Karl Rove by negatively labelling him as a "partisan attacker trying to squash discussion about Iraq," and proclaimed "the Swift-Boating of the 2006 election has begun."
...
Murtha: "Well, it's just, it's a slogan. That's all. Here's a guy [Rove] sitting on his fat backside in an air-conditioned office talking about the troops. He doesn't have a clue what's going on in Iraq."

It is a very dangerous game to question someone's documented combat record.Oh FGS, I will always question a democrat's Purple Heart. If they actually earned it, I thank them.
Yes, it would be irrelevant IF the msm, the demos, and Murtha were not running with his military record/Purple Hearts as if that makes everything coming out of his mouth Gospel. And you suggest no one question it?
Now, back to the the World Cup.

Yep. There is something going on in his feeble mind. He seems to be enjoying the political limelight and will say anything to be relevant. Pathetic!

If Murtha was smart (and he is not), he would ask to go to Gitmo instead of a nursing home. The average person at Gitmo (not our troops) gains 18 pounds during their stay. So, Gitmoeons eat well. It is apparent from the large backside, Murtha likes to eat. It would be the perfect place for the dirt bag. He could have a large time putting down America with the rest of the dirt bags.
Democrats Vow to Fight On After Zarqawi Loss
Filed Under: Liberals, Humor, Washington, DC, DNC
When humor works best to serve up the news, Scott Ott reports:
(2006-06-09) As Blackberry devices and cell phones on Capitol Hill hummed with news of the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi yesterday, Congressional Democrats vowed that despite the loss they would fight on in the war on the war on terror.
Zarqawi will be missed because he put a human face on the futility of the illegal U.S. occupation of Iraq, said one unnamed lawmaker, who assured a reporter that Democrats are still optimistic. Were still looking for the silver lining.
Rep. John Murtha, D-PA, a former Marine and vocal critic of the military occupation of Iraq, immediately denounced the Zarqawi massacre and suggested that the F-16 pilot who dropped the bombs had snapped under pressure and murdered the al Qaeda leader in cold blood.
Sen. Arlen Specter, RINO-PA, demanded an explanation of the secret intelligence gathering techniques and surveillance used to find Mr. Zarqawi.
I want to give the president an opportunity to explain the program to the Congress and to assure the American people that nobodys civil rights were violated, said Sen. Specter.
Meanwhile, Democrat National Committee Chairman Howard Dean and former presidential candidate Al Gore observed a moment of silence as they heard of the passing of Mr. Zarqawi, a fellow Internet pioneer.

Muthra was a division(?) intelligence officer. There is no way he should have been ever exposed to anything that would have merited a Bronze Star with a combat V or two Purple Hearts.

I have heard in the past that John Murtha refuses to sign Form 180.
Do you know for a fact if he has or has not?

Thanks for your support for Ms. irey. Bumping threads and helping get her name and message out are also important parts of our efforts, and that generally doesn't cost anything.
FReepmail me if you or anyone would like on the Irey/Murtha ping list.

I'm with you. Folks trying to dig into his past are IMHO playing games with something they likely can't prove. And at great risk. Yet his words and actions of TODAY are irrefutable and despicable.

So Murtha spent what, a long weekend in Iraq, and that makes him an "expert"?

He meant, since it was on MSNBC, only 23 people were tuned in, so it's not as tho it was widely viewed... :O
