BAGHDAD, Iraq The U.S. troops searched Saturday for two soldiers that went missing after an attack that killed one of their comrades at a traffic checkpoint in the so-called "Triangle of Death" just south of Baghdad, the military said.
U.S. Maj. Gen. William Caldwell said four raids had been carried out since Friday's attack and that ground forces, helicopters and airplanes were taking part in the search.

The soldiers came under attack at a traffic checkpoint southwest of Youssifiyah, 12 miles south of Baghdad. A quick reaction force arrived at the scene after hearing small arms fire and explosions, according to the military.
"We are currently using every means at our disposal on the ground, in the air and in the water to find them," Caldwell said.
He said that troops at an adjacent traffic control point heard an explosion and small arms fire just before dark in the vicinity of the checkpoint where the attack occurred at a canal crossing near the Euphrates River.
A quick reaction force reached the scene within 15 minutes, found the dead soldier but not the other two. A dive team was to search the canal.

by telephone, eh? How interesting.
Isaiah 33:2
O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for Thee; be Thou their arm every morning; our salvation also in the time of trouble
I hope we deploy thousands in that area of operation, searching door-to-door for the soldiers. Give no respect whatsoever to these people who harbor the terrorists. Disrupt their lives so that they worry about going to work or the market or the doctor or anywhere but to hades unless they get a new way of being in the world real quick. These Sunnis know what they are trying to do, and they need whacking about vigorously until they get some sense.
They don't want to be seen talking with Americans most likely.
Praying for the safety and quick release of the two missing soldiers, for their families as they wait and pray and the family of the lost soldier. May God wrap His loving arms around them and give them His peace.
Praying for good news...!
damn.
Prayers for all our brave soldiers, but especially these and their courageous families. May God give them strength, and hold them in His hand.
I've looked. I don't see any new news. Just rehashing the earlier stuff so far.
Prayer ping from here.
BTTT
FReepers seem to be bored with Iraq and our troops; not even 100 posts yet.
I keep checking, but it doesn't seem as though any new news is coming out on this. I'm not even sure their names have been released yet.
Prayers for their safety and rescue.
That was a harsh and very unnecessary thing to say!
