New liberal strategy: Assault 7-year-olds

Liberals in Lexington, Mass., have taken to beating up the 7-year-old children of their political opponents.

This disgusting tactic should be featured on the front pages of every newspaper across the nation, yet you've heard nary a word about it.

Here are the specs:

A number of months ago, as first reported by yours truly, Superintendent Paul Ash decided to have his second-grade teachers begin reading a "fairy tale" about two princes getting it on homosexual style to be read in the classrooms under his direction. The book was called "King and King."

In reaction, parents from the Estabrook School decided to plead with Ash as to whether this book should be allowed. The all-powerful Ash laughed and went on his way.

Somewhat disheartened by this response, the parents then made the completely over-the-top request of being notified when such material would be presented in the classroom – especially if it knowingly violated their conscience and their religious convictions.

Growing somewhat angry, the all-powerful Ash shot the parents a verbal middle finger by retorting, "Estabrook has no legal obligation to notify parents about the book. We couldn't run a public school system if every parent who feels some topic is objectionable to them for moral or religious reasons decides their child should be removed. Lexington is committed to teaching children about the world they live in, and in Massachusetts same-sex marriage is legal."

This profane sort of arrogance didn't sit well with one of the parents by the name of David Parker. He went to the school to discuss it directly with Ash. When Parker refused to leave without being heard by the all-powerful Ash, he was arrested. Remember, Parker's only request was to be notified when homosexuality or transgenderism was to be discussed.

Word spread amongst the liberal activist groups around the area. Nasty letters began to be written to local newspapers in an effort to get Parker to back down. When that didn't work, a nasty website was created to spread the anti-Parker venom via the Internet and rally the call to other activist groups nationwide.

On the day of Parker's hearing, the Ash/Nasty coalition turned out dozens of adults to demonstrate hate-filled nastiness against Parker as he entered and exited the courthouse – all in an attempt to get him to shut up. The nasties even convinced the school district to post anti-Parker newspaper stories on the bulletin boards throughout the schools as another means of intimidation.

None of it worked!

Instead, on April 27 Parker and another family from the school district filed a federal civil-rights suit against the school district. This made Ash and the other nasties even angrier, and some of them decided to get even.

At the courthouse hearings and many of the protests outside Parker's home, the nasties had used children to hold up hateful signs and demonstrate alongside their nasty parents. They also recruited young children to participate in angry anti-Parker demonstrations outside the school and to engage in letter-writing campaigns.

But on May 17, they crossed the line.

That was the day that 10 of these thug-kins grabbed David Parker's 7-year-old son, dragged him behind the corner of the school, well out of sight from school officials, and proceeded to punch him in the groin, stomach and chest, before he dropped to the ground when they then kicked and stomped on him. Several of the alleged thug-kins were children of the adults who had been protesting Parker, several of them not even in the same class as Parker's child. It also needs to be pointed out that May 17 was a targeted date because that is the anniversary of changing the marriage definitions in the state of Massachusetts to include homosexual unions. Emotions among many activists were running very high on that day.

The school district "investigated" and did determine that the attack was pre-meditated. Shockingly, they decided no punishment necessary for the 10 thug-kins who were serving as political hit men for the activists in Lexington.

All of this happening because one father wished to reserve the right to teach his own family's faith-based views on sexuality.

I support the lawsuit David Parker is bringing against Ash and the Estabrook School District. Standing up is always the right thing to do. His legal fees are growing, and if you are interested in making a donation to help – as I have – I would encourage you to. I would also encourage you to drop an e-mail to Paul Ash or place a phone call – either way, it is obvious that Ash believes that he is unaccountable to the parents of his district. Paul Ash's e-mail address is pash@sch.ci.lexington.ma.us. His phone number at the school is (781) 861-2550.

It's also very sad that Ash's compadres have sunk to the level of assaulting the 7-year-old child of David Parker in their attempts to shut him up.

But then again, liberals don't believe in absolutes, morality or the law – so why should we be surprised?

You can't tell the truth about things like this around Free Republic anymore. If you do, you are labeled a homosexual supporter. It's sad, because FR is becoming more and more like DU every day.

I know you just didn't say what I think you said.

I said it and I stand by it. But perhaps FR would prefer to be like CBS and just make stuff up.

Most Ed.D's can't even write on that level.

I once knew a masters student at Harvard who could write reasonably well. It was the more difficult stuff--like naming the continents or the various presidents on our currency, or knowing which Founding Father wrote the Declaration of Independence--that stuff she had trouble with.

This story is phony and has already been debunked. The kid was beaten up by his friend and it had NOTHING to do with the father's gay stands. I hate LIARS on any side.

Sure. It was "debunked" by the homo-gandists who have been attacking this family from jump-street. And the press-release you pasted on this thread came straight from a website run by one of the lesbi-mommies in the forefront of this whole sordid affair.

If you were more honest about your sources, people might take you more seriously. That press-release was a complete farce.

I would not expect truth to be found on the website of a woman who thinks she's married to another woman. This is an exerecise in "he-said-she-said" and as such, I tend to discount the testimony of the side more likely to engage in smear-tactics, lies, intimidation, and blackmail. If you don't think the homo-activist community is expert in all these things, you haven't been paying attention to what's been going on in the Catholic Church.

That's one of its names. There are more. I think one of my college roommates coined that one about 40 years ago.

Do you have more than one source for that?

If not, how can you be so sure they're being truthful and everyone else is "lying"?

Here is what I found at the Luxuriating Cares web site.

Some of you may be aware that the press has received a news release related to a playground incident at Estabrook. The Estabrook principal has investigated the issue over the past two days, talking to the adults and children involved. The following are the facts as she understands them.

On May 17, several first graders were involved in a disagreement over who would sit where in the cafeteria. As a result, upon going outside one child took another by the hand and brought him to a third student in an area of the playground that is somewhat difficult for the adults to see. (The student who was hit said that he went willingly.) All children who saw agreed that the third student then hit the student who had been brought to him two to four times in the chest/abdomen (children's accounts vary) and he fell to his knees. The student who was hit says he was hit when down; the other children say he wasn't. One child reports that one student held the arm of the student who was hit; however, the child who was hit and the other children did not report this. The children involved named five children who were nearby watching but not directly involved. Several other students were close enough to see a cluster of students but not close enough to see what was happening. The student who did the hitting suggested that others also hit, but none of them did so. Based on the children's accounts, this all may have happened in under a minute. The aide on duty saw a group of children gathering, and as she walked toward them was approached by a child that said someone was being bullied. When the aide inquired what was going on, the child who was hit identified one student who hit him, and the other children agreed. The child who was hit said he was not hurt and did not want to go to the nurse. He reported that his feelings were hurt, because the child who hit him was his friend.

The child who did the hitting was sent to the assistant principal's office and while talking with her acknowledged his behavior. As a result, he filled out a "think sheet," to reflect on his behavior and choices, missed recess on two days, and wrote an apology. In addition, the classroom teacher called both sets of parents and a class discussion was held about not hitting and speaking up when there is a problem on the playground. The teacher indicated that both parents took the matter seriously and seemed satisfied with the outcome. Following the incident the boys were observed arm in arm at school and subsequently the child who was hit went to the house of the child who hit him for a play date.

On May 31, the parents of the child hit casually inquired of the assistant principal as to the consequence given to the other child, and they were told that the child's parents were informed and a consequence given. Other than this brief interaction, between the time of the phone call by the teacher to the parents on May 17 until June 14, there were no complaints of injury or dissatisfaction with the process to the teacher, nurse, or the administrators. On June 14, school administration received a call from a local paper stating that they had received a press release that a child had been assaulted at Estabrook.

In this case, we followed all of our usual procedures and worked with both sets of parents to resolve this issue. We are surprised that it has resurfaced in a press release issued by a group calling itself Mass Resistance without any prior contact with the school. The press release states that the incident was "fueled and incited by adults (and yes, school officials)." We have found nothing in our investigation that would support this allegation in any way. Nonetheless, in the interest of an open and thorough review of the incident, the matter has been referred by the superintendent to the Lexington police, District Attorney's office, and the Department of Social Services for independent investigation.

At Estabrook, playground safety and student behavior are school improvement goals each year. The school, like all of the schools in Lexington, works hard to establish behavioral expectations, teach students social skills, and provide strong supervision on the playground. In the seven years that Joni Jay has been principal, we have more than doubled the adults watching students on the playground and our coverage ratio at Estabrook is at or above all other Lexington elementary schools. We have separated older and younger students and have fewer students on the playground at one time. We have trained and hired skillful aides who stay actively involved with children, equipped with walkie-talkies and actively walking around identifying potential problems and working through them with students. The Open Circle program, adopted this year, has provided students with skills to help them resolve problems verbally. Administrators discuss with children the reasons for what happened, the consequences, and future alternatives every time there is a problem. We involve parents and teachers when a child has broken school rules, and if the nurse treats a child due to a playground incident. Each incident is documented, and referrals are made to the counselor and other support personnel when appropriate. As a result of the efforts of staff and parents working together, physical altercations on the playground have been reduced significantly.

A major goal of the Lexington Public School system is both to help all children feel safe as well as to help the child who has erred learn. We are continuously looking to improve the playground experience for children and welcome your input.

If the school is being sued for their queer agenda that caused this, I'm not sure I would put much faith in "the facts as she understands them".

The grip of the gay/lesbians on Mass. has been increasing, like Chinese water torture - dip-drip-drip - over 30 years. And in all our states, incrementally.

Back in the early 80's, when I was fighting these people head on - I had an organization: "Families For Freedom."

A Boston TV talk-show host called me an invited me to debate the authors of "My Body, Myself" I made the trip to Mass, for the show, with my copy of their book, earmarked for paragraphs I wanted to nail them on. The small audience area was stacked with the Boston lesbian groups - and I had no idea of the host's ideology.

Luckily, the host had read the book, preparatory to the show, so that when I said things like: "Why do you advocate abortion, to school children? - (middle school age) - and the author I was debating screamed they did no such thing - at which point I would flip open the book, name the page and read the passages like, on this subject, where - after covering different way abortion can be done! - they conclude with "Society often does not understand the rightness of abortion."

All but foaming at the mouth, the gal said: "That's not advocating it!"

The host jumped in with, "It sure sounds like that to me."

Whew. At this point I felt I wouldn't have to combat the host as well.

Some other like exchanges were: "Why do you encourage young, pubescent children to experiment with the homosexual lifestyle?"

"We do no such thing!"

Me - page and paragraph, following the explanations of the 'normalness' of it - they say "You can't know if it's right for you unless you try it."

After this, half the time when they protested and denied my questions, the host, himself would jump in and quote chapter and verse.

The book was also liberally peppered with pornographic 'cartoons' and a chapter advocating masturbation - even naming things girls to use to facilitate the act.

You could feel the hostility from the audience like a palpable mass. When the show ended, the debater and her coterie jumped up enmasse and stomped out of the studio without a word - didn't even thank the host = ;o)

We won some battles, year after year. But they use taxpayer's money and have the time to battle full time, year after year. That is how they get this stuff in - little at a time, until now, when they have gained the tipping point.

Only solution now is to take the kids out of harms way - i.e., out the government socialist indoctrination warehouses.

Don't believe it's a Massachusetts problem - I can guarantee it's in your state's schools too. Go look in the school libraries - that's where they 'hide' it first, not classified as curriculum, therefore off the radar when parents want to see the 'curriculum'...but they are brought into the classrooms and taught.

It's too late to fight the school's head on. Parents need to use their time and energy to take their children out of harm's way: home school, church school, private school...get them OUT.

Only when the goverment school's financial back is broken, will there be a chance to turn them around. But that will take more years than your child will be in school - get them out.
