You have to admire the brazen hypocrisy being exhibited by the liberal media when it comes to the treatment that Ann Coulter has been receiving from them.
She has been so vilified that at least one liberal columnist has reportedly suggested she'd be better off dead. He actually asked her, "Would it kill you to do us all a favor and kill yourself?" But that columnist, Simon Dumenco of Ad Age, gets away unscathed as do the rest of those who have directed vile, outrageous and shameful remarks in the direction of Coulter and others on the right.
Let's take the much-hyped Wednesday night matchup on Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" on NBC between Coulter and George Carlin.
You may remember Carlin as the man behind the "seven words you can't say on TV."
I also cannot write them on these pages.
In a CNN.com story about the Leno show, Coulter is described as "the acid-tongued conservative" while good old George is tabbed as "the quick-witted, anti-establishment comedian." I also see that he is in the voice cast of the new hit movie for kids called "Cars." (Disney might want to take a closer look at its movie voices in the future.)
I wonder when Ann will get her shot to voice a kids movie?

I wonder if the judge in my post before this one would consider those comments to reflect his sacred virtue of "civility."
Same old liberalism on parade, do what we say, not what we do.
I still love Ann's latest quote from a recent article she wrote:
Liberals aren't having much fun now that the rabbit has the gun.
Well, that has to be one of the DUMBEST phrases I've heard in a while.
"Would it kill you to do us a favor, and kill yourself?"
Think about that.
Don't think so Simon. Suicide is more a leftist fetish.
Popular with the japanese too.
I think my tag says it all...
....I think my tag says it all...
Nice tag !
.......and still there's no comment about Ann calling Bill Clinton a rapist in the book. It's like she never critized the happy couple.(Bill and Hill).
The liberals are in a killing mood, well, rather, maybe after years of slaughtering the unborn, their true colors are showing...liberals are a death cult...
Sacrificing Our Troops on the Altar of Republican Politics
by Larry C Johnson
Leave it to the Porcine Draft Dodger--Karl Rove--to impugn the character of combat veterans. Can't blame him for trotting out the same playbook that worked so well in 2004 against the candidacy of John Kerry. If it worked once it should work again.
Of course I am referring to Karl's speech Tuesday night to Republicans in New Hampshire. According to a piece in Wednesday's Washington Post: In a speech to New Hampshire Republican officials here Monday night, the White House deputy chief of staff attacked Democrats who have criticized the U.S. war effort in Iraq, such as Sen. John F. Kerry (Mass.) and Rep. John P. Murtha (Pa.), who he said advocate "cutting and running."
"They may be with you for the first shots," Rove said of such opponents. "But they're not going . . . to be with you for the tough battles."
Karl is a shameless bastard. This could explain why his mother killed herself. Once she discovered what a despicable soul she had spawned she apparently saw no other way out. It would be one thing if his vile tactics were simply mere smears of politicians like Kerry and Murtha. They are big boys and should be able to defend themselves quite ably against this turd. But Rove, like Josef Goebbels, has used fear and smear as his primary tools to keep George Bush in power.
* I won't be holding my breath waiting for the liberal moral scolds to step up to pulpit.
Judging from news reports and the portrayal of villains in our popular entertainment, Americans are bedeviled by fantasies about terrorism. They seem to believe that terrorism is the greatest threat to the United States and that it is becoming more widespread and lethal. They are likely to think that the United States is the most popular target of terrorists. And they almost certainly have the impression that extremist Islamic groups cause most terrorism.
None of these beliefs are based in fact. ... While terrorism is not vanquished, in a world where thousands of nuclear warheads are still aimed across the continents, terrorism is not the biggest security challenge confronting the United States, and it should not be portrayed that way.
--Larry C. Johnson, The Declining Terrorist Threat, New York Times, July 10, 2001. Johnson, a former CIA officer, was deputy director of the U.S. State Departments Office of Counterterrorism from 1989 to 1993.
