Iraq is going to completely change the course of history in the Middle East---

And it's aleady begun. Shortly after the first election in January 2005, Kuwait started relaxing its Islamic grip on its people and eventually even women were granted the right to vote. Other countries in the region began looking at reforms that granted more freedom to its citizens.

Only Iran and Saudi Arabia seem to be resisting the move forward now.

You can't read? She wasn't talking about "the whole of us" as you said. She's talking about specific FReepers. You sound like a liberal trying to twist around what she said. Wake up and put your glasses on for crying out loud.

"Pass the beans and the bullets."

Use your sixth and watch your six while scurrying around in the land of sand. Get back home soon, safe, and I'm sure your kitties will welcome you gladly, though, they'll probably fuss at you for a short bit.

When you run across some of our troops, I'd consider it a personal favor, to let them know there's another back here in the states that sincerely appreciates them, their sacrifice, and the job they are doing (you too).

It really P'O's me how the Left abandons their support of our troops by public making statements against W's policies and procedures to fight the WOT. This does nothing but feed the enemy to fight even harder and commit more acts of terrorism.......so stupid on their part. The most amazing thing is that the Dems and the Left offer no solution to the elimination of the global danger; they just complain and criticize. They have an unrelenting denial syndrome that there are evil people in this world, want to kill them and for radical Islam to dominate the globe.

Anyway, take care of yourself, and thanks for the pics and the smiles.....may God bless.

Can't help you there. I only bothered to remember those who said Marines probably massacred Iraqis.

Probably the same bunch.

Thank you so much for your perspective on what's "really" going on in Iraq.

I'm with the troops in the chow hall (in spirit) asking for CNN to be turned off. Whenever ABC radio news with that screechy Ann Compton comes on, I hit the off button. What a bunch of BS liars and twisters of the truth!

Of course, our efforts will change the course of history in the Middle East, and I'm so glad you pointed that out. The people of Iran are crying out for freedom. So many have family in Iraq and see the good happening there. They know it is only a matter of time for them too to confront the tyranny of Islamofascism.

I'm not the most eloquent of posters, and don't post here very often. I prefer to read all the great info you and others provide on FR.

My point is, I want to say thank you, to your in your support role, and to our wonderful, brave troops. There are alot of silent folks on this board and I'm sure I am expressing what many of them are thinking.

God bless all of you. You are in my prayers every day!

"They're Losing" Which means we're WINNING. These documents prove that Bush's policy iw working. Dems strategy is summarized thusly, "Quick Pull-Out Before We Win".

I know exactly what you are talking about, the MSM and other doubters just don't recognize destiny when they see it. This President has had to run the gauntlet since day one of his Presidency and he has done so unbowed and with focused determination and a clear eye on the future. He, truly, isn't cowed by polls and won't change his course because of them.

I too, have been criticized when I express optimism with this President, some have replied that I am guilty of not 'contributing to the debate', I can only assume that they feel if you don't view his vision in a negative light, you are too bias to express an opinion.

Let the rant, by the end of his last term, the 'doubters' will be silent because they will see all their words scattered to the winds and will be forced to see unvarnished greatness of this man.

Now I can't wait to see how the shady Gray Lady spins the truth the terrorists told each other.

Didn't take long...

Nah, you'd just bring out your 537 theorem, bvw.

I don't post a whole heck of a lot on these threads, Allegra, but I appreciate that you give us updates on what is going on in the ME. Oh, I just read your profile page AGAIN! You rock!

"You obviously have never been to the Middle East or you would know that democracy in an Islamic country simply cannot be achieved."

LOL, I remember that one. That'z the same thread where they called you an armchair warrior (or something like that)

Yes, and I believe he said it from his armchair. LOL

It's funny - these rude guys always come across like they think they're so tough and they don't realize that the well-adjusted are just laughing at them.

If one trooper gets a hang nail, the 'Shady Gray Lady' will say nothing has changed, it's still a quagmire.

From my armchair to your front lines, thanks for all you're doing (I can never say that enough). Think for a moment about the comfort and hope we've been given from one simple report by Zarqawi that things are not going well for him. It has bolstered us, encouraged us to push harder and consolidate our gains, and to hang on for a little while longer.

Then think about the same kinds of reports coming out of OUR media hour after hour, day after day, year after year, about how we're losing, time is on the side of the insurgents, et cetera, ad nauseum, and consider the hope it gives the bad guys to hang on just a little bit longer.

There are "journalists" out there spinning it this way on purpose. They are responsible for a large number of the deaths of our soldiers and citizens who are trying to do a good thing in Iraq.

Allegra, thanks to you and the thousands of others who ignore the media and hang on for just a little bit longer.
