He said that as president he had "a consuming interest in the intersection of religion and politics."And here all along I thought he had a "consuming interest in the intersection of the Presidency and interns."

"For ... the so-called Christian right and its allies, their great sin has been believing they were in full possession of the truth." For so-called ex-President's who question the meaning of what "is" is.....it's a bit hard to except his definition of "truth".

To: Aussie Dasher
Ah yes. If your religion calls for you to stop abortion, you are violating the separation of church and state that is enshrined in the Constitution (at least, liberals are certain that it is. They aren't quite sure WHERE, but anyway...) However, if your religion calls for you to tax the rich out of existence to feed, educate, clothe, house, employ, and heal the poor... particularly if they're here illegally... then you're just a compassionate, enlightened individual who understands what Christianity is REALLY all about.

BILL CLINTON (day-dreaming): Gosh, when I think of religion I think of all the luscious babes I've met in churches all over this great land..... mmmmm, mmmmmm, there's nothing like pretending to be a man of fervent faith, yet frail and struggling with sin, that gets some of my favorite cupcakes aroused for me...... ah, yes, religion is great thing, it's brought me so much ecstasy and the best thing about it is I can never think of Hillary when I'm in church because I only associate her with the infernal regions.......
